Cut off two feet of hair for this genius! She had hair down the middle of her back. Her hair was beautiful long but it didn’t show off her features and had no relevant style. We discussed a new length together and I let her cut her own pony-tails while I filmed it! This was such a great change! I wish I had a before photo!

Had so much fun today meeting Hanna and cutting off two feet of hair! I gave her a blunt one length haircut. No layers! No graduation! All the volume! All the fullness. Modern with an edge to Hanna's sweet side. She also wants to go platinum blonde and she made her dress out of an old blanket comforter. My kind of lady!

Love this fibrous ginkgo leaf. Ginkgo trees are planted in cities because of their capability to soak up pollution with their porous leaves.
Had some fun today at the salon with Maggie! She wanted to shave the bottom half of her hair at the nape. So we decided that taking away her hairline would make her look very supernatural! There’s even talk of lightening the newly shaved area! Rad! I cut face framing layers as well as cleaning up existing layers. Added a few disconnected layers throughout to kick up her wave. Decided on a blunt perimeter instead of the soft, rounded perimeter she normally wears. Really fun day and good luck to Maggie on her research in Chile!

Darrin is strong willed women and we gave her a strong asymmetrical haircut with a placement of purple color underneath. Finished off the style with a strong upturned fringe and the rest is history. Darrin has fine hair and the R&Co Dallas Thickening hair product line gave Darrin the extra boost in her cut and style!
Undercuts and transformations with Cely! Cely is a Bushwick Brooklyn native. She came in two weeks prior to her appointment with thick hair down her back. She wanted it all off and gave her a new edgy short undercut that she can easily blowout or air dry.

Meet Ciara! All the way from Ireland! She is an IT intern in New York and goes to college in Boston. We took of six inches from the length and gave Ciara a soft balance of long layers. I applied R&Co Dallas Thickening Spray at the root for lift and R&Co Blow Out Balm to length for a nourished, smooth blow dry.
Added Alchemy’s Matte Lip Color in Flushing’s Finest.
Starting with wet hair I established a rounded perimeter using the fringe layers resting at her chest. Over directing the fringe 90° forward. Left a stronger, straight perimeter at the back for a thicker vintage look. Isolating a small triangle section at the parting of her hair I cut short layers for a disconnected fringe section for layers that fall between her cheek bone and neckline. Then continuing from the apex using a wagon wheel sectioning. I elevated between 90° and 60° cutting long, rounded layers using the perimeter as my guide. Once dried I removed weight in the layers by gliding and cutting.

I am in love with this cut. I love the blunt perimeter that mimics the jawline. The Pearl Platinum Blonde is impeccable. The fringe has a definite line from long to short opening up the face.
