sometimes i wonder if things will ever get better, or if i'll ever get better

i always thought i'd be okay, but today, something inside me broke.

after a long day and a two-hour commute, all i wanted was a warm bowl of soup. i reheated a sad bowl of three-day old soup, sat down, and caught my reflection in it. i don't know what overcame me, but i just burst into tears.

maybe it was burnout, maybe it was loneliness. maybe i've just been holding back for too long. i don't know.

all i know is that i'm tired.
