I wish I could post more of my commissioned art on here, but quite a lot of what I’ve done for the past few months is for private collectors or for ongoing projects which are still under wraps. Here’s a little Gundam Wing for you guys, though! After the Golden State Warriors won the NBA Championship someone commissioned this image. I think they look good in basketball uniforms, personally :D

GundamInfo recently posted the first three episodes of the Gundam Wing HD remaster on YouTube. High-def version is on the top (with assorted caveats for PC monitor capture quality); 1999 DVD-quality version is on the bottom.

I’ve never been one to chitter over pixel resolution or color depth, but I suppose there’s some value in getting something sharper than 1995-program quality – and yeah, Gundam Wing really is that old.

Gundam Wing comes to Blu-ray Disc (U.S.) in December 2017 ($269.99). I won’t be lining up to purchase the darn thing … but it’s good to see western distribution groups thinking about the most-recent, elder generation of anime fans, and throwing us a bone every once in a while.

I love that Relena’s the one catches Heero both metaphorically and literally. This whole scene represents Heero finally letting go of being a soldier – something he’s been his whole life. And he doesn’t let this happen just anywhere. I think he makes sure it happens when Relena is near.

His relationship with her has grown to the point where he now trusts himself and his future to her. He trusts in her pacifism and he trusts in everything they’ve come to mean to each other. And so he lets himself fall knowing she’ll be there to catch him.

I did it! I finally did it!!! Darn me all to heck!!!!

Just posting this while I work on another commission. This was done as a commission for someone over on Deviant Art. I definitely think it’s a crossover that was bound to happen somewhere, and why not here? The pose is based on one of the screenshots from the first season of the new Voltron series (which I find rather fun, tbh), though the colors are a bit out of order. The person who commissioned me wanted these poses and chose the colors for each character. I’m not sure yet if I would have assigned the colors differently, but that wasn’t my decision, so no biggie. Anyway, have fun with this one! Also, another commission coming soon!
