Just got a hit!

Me, Max and our parents are heading out in the morning to Kentucky! 

Going to investigate an estate! So hopefully, we will see what we can find!

Let’s just hope we don’t get lost on our way there! 

Mom did say we are leaving in the morning, so right now, me and Max will be up all night doing our research about this place! Will keep updated!

David and Gwen decided to settle down or make a ‘base of operations.’ I think they just wanted a house. Aaaanyway we have so much more to look for and some sick evidence to show.

- Basic background of the idea -

I’m glad that people are interested about this AU!

This whole idea of the AU actually came to me when I was in school. You know, those random thoughts that come to you when you’re trying to keep on task? It was something that stuck with me for awhile. It didn’t actually form together right away. Mostly it was just bits and pieces here and there. Camp Camp by RoosterTeeth is something I really enjoy. I love the characters, the situations they go through, how humorous and how emotional they get. From the start, I already knew Camp Camp was a lovely bit I would never let go easily.

Now, one of my after-school days, I return home and hop on a website with my significant other. We usually tend to watch YouTube videos, or just random videos in general. Yet this time, I was in a rather different mood. I felt the nostalgia of Lost Tapes, a TV show that I watched when I was younger. The first episode we watched together was Bigfoot.

Typical, right?But I couldn’t help it.

I use to think the show was real and so scary! Now, after those years, I could really tell the difference about it. BUT! The whole idea and concept of creatures living among us, still makes my curiosity spark, my heart pound, and just get so darn excited!

It was then when my significant other brought up something to me.

’You know that.. its a setting in the woods and the concept of Bigfoot has adventure and horror in it.’ -significant other

That’s when the light in my head turned on.It was like a rush of energy filled me and I just started to put pieces together like a puzzle.Something that started off as a thought, turned into an idea, which quickly turned into a collaboration AU with a friend!

NOW! PLOT! (Read below)

It is midway summer.

Camp Campbell is underway with its usual activities and daily routines.

Basically, its just a typical camp.

Yet, after David makes a trip into town, word has been given of a strange

humanoid figure

walking near the tree-lines of the area. Fearing the worse, David returns back to the camp, filling Gwen in with the rumors. At first, the whole rumor to Gwen was stupid and made up, yet when strange noises occur within the forest, maybe those

rumors aren’t so stupid.

Throughout a week, both David and Gwen are doing research, also heading back to town during night hours, and even getting prepared to protect their camp.

Of course, with this going on, the campers really don’t seem to bother the busy counselors.

Yet, a small group does.

Max, Neil, Nikki, and Luci

all come up with plans to figure out why both David and Gwen are acting so strange. It came to a point where Max and Luci hide in the back of David’s car while both the adults head into town.

They soon discover the reason why they are doing this, and just like any other kid, they grow curious.

Questions arise with them, leading to admitting what they did and that they know why.

Of course, both kids were punished

(they just sat out from camp activities for the day)

Yet, upon the next morning, signs of something there caused great concern.

Especially when you see the huge flag pole snapped in half with wires scattered around.

With the rumors growing, and the amount of talk in the camp, both counselors decide to cut summer short. They bring their parents to camp, giving their kids back with only a simple explanation.

‘Camp Shutting Down’

Campers start to return home, only leaving two.

Max and Luci.

On their papers, which David held, it appeared that there was no way in contacting either parents. Knowing that, dealing with two kids who obviously had no parental guidance, they decide to take matters into their own hands for the time being.

They start to get real, explaining the gravity of the situation and what has been going around.

This whole ordeal continued for about a couple days until the group was put to the test.

A whole showdown occurred.

From David and Gwen being thrown against the mess hall doors to Max and Luci hiding in the counselor cabin, they instantly got to work.

The whole night a Camp Campbell was filled with instructions and fear.

Eventually, day came around, and the group came out from hiding, figuring that the coast was clear.

Each of them exchanged what they got, what they observed, what they learned.

Even though the fear was there, a new spark formed.

Packing and cleaning up was fast. Heading back to town was slow.

Yet the fire in them from that night never left their hearts.With abit of talking, planning, and even arguing, the ex-counselors and two kids decided this was something they all had in common, and if put well together, they could honestly do this for a nice fun hobby. A living even.

The rest is history.
