some people may not think of it this way and that’s okay but i just feel like this needs to be said.. every and anything you do to shift is a method… mindblowing, right?
no but frl, i saw in a shiftok comment section where the question was something like, “what’s something that really pisses you off about shifting/shiftok?” and someone in the comments said, “i strongly dislike shifters who rely on methods. specifically, when they don’t understand that they are there to aid you in your shifting journey, they don’t make you shift.”
allow me to share the definition of a method: “A method is a specific, orderly, and systematic way of doing something. It acts as a planned procedure or technique to achieve a particular result.”
now, i know that some people have shifted without even meaning to, so maybe that’s what this person was talking about. however, just because you’re not laying in a starfish position and counting down to 100 doesn’t mean you’re not doing a method. even if you’re just blinking and breathing, if the intent is to shift, THAT IS A METHOD. for the love of all things that are holy, i need more people to recognize that.
and another thing, why are we so focused on what other shifters do in order to help them on THEIR shifting journey?? like we do all know that you don’t have to know every single thing in order to shift right? right? it’s important to me that we all know that 🤨
anyway, basically, my whole point is if you’re intentionally trying to shift, whatever you do, that is a method. also, can we stop opening up spaces to hate on harmless things other shifters and what they do? the shifting community as a whole gets enough hate as it is. especially, when we have people shifting to be trump’s daughter, people shifting to a murder dr, people defending said people who are shifting to a murder dr- we have enough going on, don’t add to it, please.
