So, we didn’t even go back to school afterward…? Well, we’d probably still be recovering, I guess. But… man, I would’ve loved that. I mean… we were still friends after it all happened, yeah, but I just…

I felt like… I don’t know, like that was all I had to connect with you? If I tried getting closer after everything, I… was worried things would be tense, or I’d end up making you uncomfortable. I mean, Egypt was messed up, and we’d never really talked before that–I didn’t… know how to talk to you when things were normal. T-Talking to you now, I see that was just me being stupid, but–

We started going out a few months ago, actually.  When we wound up here together.  It’s some confusing shit, but...  Yeah, none of that shit happened.  We were with each other the whole time, and we didn’t have any awkward growing apart or whatever.  And I’m thankful for it.  

We didn’t get to go back to school and shit, but we’ve stuck together.  We’ve hung out a lot with a girl from an alternate timeline where she went to Egypt and her Kakyoin lived.  It’s a mess.

You and me both know we’ve probably seen and done weirder things… I guess the whole “being stuck in a normal lifestyle” thing sort of… numbed me to being familiar with it.

We’ve been together in Italy this whole time.  It’s not long after our trip, and we kind of ended up there.

Well, for the most part, just the two of us.  

I think there’s something else here at play other than just you skipping ahead five years, but it might be hard to explain... and it’d be just a guess.  

But it’d be weird to keep it from you now of all times, since I’m not exactly the best with smoke and mirrors.

Oh! Mama and Baachan… Papa must be out, too. They like to go out a lot–you’re a lot nicer than some of the other babysitters they left me with, though! When I told some of them about the swear cup, they didn’t even try to stop like you did!

-Once the grabby hands are out, he’s scooping her up.  She couldn’t see Stands at this age, so just taking Star Platinum out to show her might not mean much.  However, having a superhero framework helps him explain shit a lot.-

And I’m a bit like a superhero, you’d say.  I have control over a big, powerful friend who can punch anything.  He’s a bit invisible, though, but you can see it if he picks up things.

I even had to fight bad guys before--and when you’re big, we do it together.  But for now, we gotta get snacks and see if there’s that guy who used his de-age-ifier shadow gun on you.
