Hi! My name is Huahua, your most ordinary fanfic writer. I open this side blog to share my writings and thoughts on multiple fandoms that I'm in. It's mostly wholesome and SFW, but don't be surprise to find a "???" secret box sometimes. Feel free to look around!
Navigation
What you can find here are fanfics, rambles, nostalgia, and in rare occassions, an analysis. I will try to include as many posts in the masterlists as possible (no matter how nonsense), so you and I can track it easily.
All of my full work can be found on Ao3. As for tumblr, I tend to post full oneshots and only previews for longer fanfics. But don't worry! The previews are all linked to its Ao3 counterparts.
Eh? Still want to know about me and what matter of cringiness I did in the past? Shh — we don't talk about it here. Let's find a quieter place.

I'm still alive and well. The infamous ao3 curse did not knock on my doorstep or anything. I'm just taking a break from writing and posting that's all☺️
I created Bouncer and Mauve on my island. Their Qi Henchmen Club is going great
Btw I know I never really describe his appearance other than the canon sunglasses and the suit in the fic. But this is how I imagine he'd be. Those thick eyebrows are the MUST
More silly moments
The cult of iridium snake milk is growing on this island. Everyone goes crazy for that thing, just as intended.
I gave birth to him 10 seconds ago and now he's plotting some evil deeds with another mii. That signature smug be following him in every universe. Oh Jamil Viper my baby😔
Congratulations, you have found my “secret in the dark tunnel” once again.
Well, to say that you are my future wife is quite inaccurate. By the time you read this secret note I’m hiding, we should already be husband and wife.
Hmm, you are not under the impression that this is the end, are you? That once you are married to me, all the thrills of games and secrets will disappear?
If anything, an even more extraordinary life awaits us. Once married to the gamemaster, your life is forever a game. There shall not be a single, dull day that passes without your joyous smile. That, I decide, shall be my lifelong responsibility.
Note: I usually just post a preview of each chapter, but this one is a full version in itself. No need to read more on Ao3.

Welwick: Welcome ,welcome. I believe you are here to pry on your past? Oh, what a rare occasion it is! Very few people know that I can also look into the past as well as the future.
Welwick: Hmm, let’s see. Many things have happened, and many branches of possibilities have been made. Congratulations for arriving at the best outcome of all.
Welwick: Oh, you wish to know how things could be worse? What a curious child you are.
Welwick: I’ll only let you know just a glimpse of it, is that alright? We don’t want to spoil your honeymoon with all the bad possibilities after all.

Chapter 36
Quick Summary: You just pretended to pass out in the Dangerous Mines before Mr. Qi really put you to sleep with snake venom. Now Marlon prohibited anyone from entering the mines. You went there anyway, and Sebastian was already there waiting for you. He also forbade you from going down the mines. Instead of settling this down peacefully through negotiation and some humor, Sebastian was willing to stop you by force, but it turned out funny and chaotic instead.
.
“You are the one who wants to go in there, Sebastian,” your chin lifted up. “Don’t tell me you suddenly become so obedient to what adults say.”
“Ha-ha,” he laughed sarcastically. “Trying to get under my skin? you’re years too early for that.”
You shrugged nonchalantly. “I just think we can strike a good deal if you want to go into the mines with me. But if you don’t, I guess I’m going alone.”
You walked casually to the ladder. There were two ways to get into the mines. Although the elevator was better, since you could reach floor 15 immediately, this situation called for a different approach.
“Woah — stop right there,” Sebastian rushed to stand in front of you.
“You can’t guard two doors at the same time, that’s your weakness.” You quickly spun around and ran the elevator.
“Wait, wait, wait!”

Chapter 29
Quick Summary: You found out what really happened to Marlon and Gil. Devastated and still confused, you went to see Mr. Qi for his side of the story.
.
Deleted Scene No.1: Qi giving vague respond
“Why are you telling me this?”
You stared at him. Mr. Qi was talking nonsense right now. He must have fun leaving bread crumbs for you to follow and puzzle pieces to gather, but this conversation was serious.
You believed he was distracting you from the fact that he befriended the greedy mayor and left good, honest people behind.
So Mr. Qi regretted trusting Lewis, but felt nothing about Marlon and Gil?
“I think you should know something about your mayor.”
“You….” words stuck in your mouth. How to describe this emotion? Disappointment?
“You are so cruel, perhaps that’s what you want to say, hm?”
You swallowed the word down. It was uncanny for him to know exactly what you wanted to say. That pair of eyes behind sunglasses must be searching deep in your soul. You felt bare.
Mr. Qi tilted his head and cooed.
“This is who I am, my dear. Don’t be surprised if I’m not always kind.”
.
Deleted Scene No.2: Qi taunted you
“The weak shall fall….only the strong are worthy of my attention.”
“They are not weak.”
This was the first time you heard yourself hissed.
If your eyes were like a feline, the pupils must have narrowed in warning. Marlon and Gil were people who taught you how to fight. They took care of the monsters in the mines despite their crooked legs and missing eyes. If they were weak, then none should be strong.
“They were not smart enough to detect betrayal in their team,” Qi broke away first. He circled around the couch where you two often sat down and had a good talk together.
What a shame that no one would sit on the couch today.
“Well, to say I did nothing wrong at all was unfair to them.” His tone became lighter, but still sharp like a knife.
“I, too, failed to see through that person’s hypocrisy and befriended him for longer than I should.”
“What are you trying to say exactly?” You fixed your posture. Him talking in riddles did not answer your question at all.
“It used to be three of them. Marlon, Gil….. and Lewis.” The man smirked. “Guess who the traitor is.”
No need to say it out loud. Marlon and Gil were still together, only Lewis was alone. He was also the only one with 32 parts of body still intact.
“After the incident, he was the only one out of the three to continue communicating with me.”
“You helped him become a mayor,” you immediately knew.
Just like how he was helping your farm to be the best in the country, he helped Lewis become a mayor.
“That’s something I regret.” He lowered his head, but you could not feel an ounce of guilt in him. “His greed shows me who he really is, and I realized that the principles he claimed to uphold was just a facade.
Your head throbbed painfully. Qi was talking nonsense right now. All you asked for was his honesty about the Skull Cavern incident where Marlon and Gil were injured. But he only replied to you with short, provoking answers while using Lewis to distract you.
You never want to know anything about Lewis, nor about his past friendship with Qi.
“So you regretted trusting the wrong person, but feel nothing about harming good people and leaving them behind?”
“It is simply the risk they agreed to take when they accepted the challenge.”
“No—” Your breath quickened. “No one ever agrees to die when they accept your challenge. They thought it was another fun game. You frame it like that. You made them believe that.”
The emotion wave clashed like it wanted to bring you down. Qi’s footsteps were light when he tried to get closer to you. His hand reached up to your face, but you moved away.
With trembling voice and clenched teeth, you uttered:
“I was just lucky to complete your challenge, wasn’t I? If I failed, you would have left me rotten there.”
There was a long pause. The hand that never reached your skin was tucked away behind his back.
“I know you are disappointed in me, dear,” his voice was smooth, but restrained.
“This is who I am. I set a high standard for myself and others. But I have always believed in you, and I know failure is not your thing at all.”
“You—”

.
Deleted Scene No.3: Confused and Angsty Qi
“I never thought….you would be this cruel.”
Your disappointing expression and faded spark…
Here came the worst possible outcome for Mr. Qi. When he saw Marlon walk to your farm, he knew this confrontation was inevitable.
Despite spending a night predicting and strategizing the flow of this conversation, it still landed on the worst possible outcome for both of you.
“But what of honor and honesty? Isn’t that your principle?”
Mr. Qi raised his brows. Honor? Principles? Was the survival of the fittest not his principles?
Since birth, he lived by those exact words. How ironic that it was you who said that —
you, who he bent his principles for. The first and perhaps the last one he would do that for.
But of course, you had no idea. He kept it to himself, him and only him.
If you misunderstood honor as his principles, then it was his job to enlighten you.
.
Welwick: Ho ho, that will be all for today. I’m afraid the rest of the past is too blurry for me to see.
Welwick: You know that you’re very lucky, right? It’s like winning a lottery. Not everyone can arrive where you are. I believe my friend Magnus also told you once about the possibility that you really die in the volcano. Now…we shan’t dwell on that too much.
Welwick: Speaking of Magnus, that old man is living in his worst possibility right now. Well, one of the worst. Oh, you already know about his ex-wife? Of course I know her. We have known each other since our days in academia.
Welwick: I shouldn’t say anything further. It is their fate, not yours. (Also, I don’t want to get into trouble like last time.)
Welwick: Ah, your husband is here. You shouldn’t let him wait for too long.
Welwick: Oh, no no no. You don’t need to pay me anything. He already pays me with Qi gems.
Welwick: Yes, good day to you too. May this marriage be the forever, greatest gift to you both.
Hi! This is Huahua. The Unexpected Path To Greatness is finally completed. With that said, here are doodles from me to celebrate the occassion.
This is me handing scripts for Farmer (aka you!) and Mr. Qi. You two have been working very hard and it's an honor for me to have you both in my story.
This is me experiencing with Qi's hairstyles. I like ponytail on him most.
And here is Farmer's standard outfit from the set wardrobe. Good old farmer pants, trusty boots, gardening gloves, and straw hat from the egg festival.
Qi's private office where you often sit down and talk. Black leather couch with zebra-stripe rug underneath. Also, artifact displays everywhere in his room. The man is so proud of his discoveries.
The underground club in Zuzu City from chapter 41. Not the best interior drawer here but I hope you see the vision. A giant aquarium in the middle, washing the whole 3 floors area with color blue.
.
With the fic ending, you might feel a bit empty. No worry! I currently have 2 other works with Mr. Qi. For each of them, it's a different version of Mr. Qi and the reader though. Their personalities change, and so do their dynamics. Here are the short intros
Serpent’s Blood Runs Cold: Ominous and Aloof Demigod Qi x Bold and Cheeky GN! Farmer, with Mr. Qi x Granpa too. Being down bad for the blue man is in the bloodline.
Strange Husband, Even Stranger Wife: Protective Husband Mr. Qi x Whimsy Wife Fem!Reader (non-farmer).
Again, thank you for staying with me so far. This fic is the longest piece I've ever written. Completing it gives me confidence that I can manage a longer story.
About what I'm going to write next... You'll see when you see. I can't guarantee what it will be😎
Genuine question to all selfship/ x reader/ yume enjoyers
If the fanfic length is long (let's say 100k ~ 200k), and the plot demands a strong characterization from the protagonist, would you still feel relatable reading the general 2nd pov narrative? Or would you rather go all in with the x oc story?
