Staying Safe with Amazon Wish List ā BouncyBritney
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā A question I get asked a lot by new and not so new camgirls is, how safe is an Amazon Wish list? Can they see my town? My Name? My Address? In my experience, Amazon is not safe to keep yourself anonymous. If you make an Amazon Wish list, you have to put a shipping name and address. When someone looks at your wish list, they will usually see the town, but not the exact address. Living in a town of 20,000 and coming from a town of 2,000 this has never been okay with meā¦If you are from LA, then you are lucky, it can say that on there and it will probably never be a problem for you. Please be aware that even though it blocks the address to the viewers, it can still get in the wrong hands from third party sellers on Amazon.
To stay safe on Amazon you have 3 optionsā¦
1. Only accept Gift cards for gifts. Have a public email on your wish list and ask your fans to send you a gift card in the amount of what they would like to buy for you.
Pros: No safety issues at all. Gifts can be ordered by you and delivered straight to your home. You CANNOT get scammed with gift cards, as long as you make sure to put the code into your account. Once it is in there, they cannot take it back.
Cons: The buyer loses the benefit of surprising you. While gift cards are nice, itās not quite the same as you opening a box to find the new toy or outfit you were wanting.
2. Get a PO BOX in a nearby City. Preferably 2+ hours from you, but somewhere you can check semi regularly. If you live in a big city, you can probably do one locally.
Pros: Fans can still send gifts and it be a surprise, even though they may need to tell you when they send something, unless you can call and ask, depending on the location of your PO Box.
Cons: You have to travel to check the box. Be cautious about not telling your following when you are going to get your gifts. Be alert when checking and bring someone with you if possible.
3. Mail forwarding company. This is what I use and have been happy with it. I use maillinkplus.com based out of Vegas. Check my wish listā¦it says Vegas lol. Remember to give them your stage name as well. Ex: Britney Schott (not bouncybritney)
Pros: Biggest perk? I can mail items here and they will forward them for me as well. I have to pay double shipping, but I donāt have to worry about post marks or return addresses. (Example: I sell my panties in big sales all at once. If I sell 5 pairs of panties, I package them all up with their address and my Vegas Address as the return. I can then put all 5 packages in one big envelope ((I use Flat Rate)) and send to mail Link who will then ship out the packages individually for me.)
Cons: It was kind of a bitch to set up. I had to have a paper notarized (most banks have a notary on staff) It isnāt Free, It is roughly $10 a month and I also have to pay to have any package shipped to me. It is nice when a fan finds something at the mall, they can pick it out and send it to me ļ
While on the subject please remember, DO NOT accept Wishlist items as a form of payment for anything. It is very easy on Amazon to mark something on your wishlist as purchased, and guess what, it will never show up. They donāt even have to place and cancel the order. They just mark the item as purchased else where. If someone wants to use Amazon as a form of payment, tell them to send you a giftcard. Also, be aware of the fake Amazon giftcard emails going around. The code will be in the email. If it says āclick to downloadā itās a scam.
