orgill
Donât know if anyone will read this, but if they do, it may save some headaches.
Recently switched from True Value to Orgill as our supplier. Wish we had done a lot more investigation, as it was definitely a poor decision. Will get to that at another time.
We use Epicor for our point of sale system, so this may not apply to others.
You may already know this, but we did not. Before allowing Orgill to transition sku numbers, there a few areas that you should protect.
First and foremost. Do not allow them to transition skuâs unless they are an exact upc match. Your Scotts/Ortho will suddenly be Spectracide and other brands. So closing out any inventory you still have, means re-entering skuâs and upcâs. If you have clear descriptions, preserve them. If you use them, preserve your âsequence numbersâ. Do not allow a change of âstocking unitâ, â purchase unitâ, âorder multipleâ or âstandard packageâ. You may even want to retain âmanufacturerâs part numberâ.
