For the past two years I've had the pleasure of contributing a monthly illustration to the German gourmet magazine Der Feinschmecker. A new seasonal product is highlighted each month and here are a few of my freshest faves so far 🫐🦪🍄 Big thanks to Antje Elmenhorst for the great teamwork, thanks also Kombinatrotweiss Illustration 😘
As I'm shamefully slow at posting current work, this is me playing a bit of catch-up. Here an illustration I did last year for Mr Porter of fabulous Dee Wells - photographer, filmmaker and sneaker-fanatic. Thanks Catriona McCormick
Coloured pencil portrait of psychologist and economist Daniel Kahneman for Barrons Big thanks to Robert Connolly.
A recent one for Surfers Journal The essay captures the surreal aftermath of when the perfect surf meets deadly typhoon. Thanks Jim Newitt and Synergyart 🍍🌊
Delighted to have portrayed 11 trailblazing women for BMW - here is a small selection of my faves. Such a pleasure working with you Franziska Goppold and Territory. Thanks Kombinatrotweiss Illustration And on that note: Happy Women's Day 🤍
Slow year - fast car... Here's a Maserati I drew last year for BEAU of Brummell magazine. Thanks India Scrimgeour of Showmedia London and Synergyart 😘🏎
Another illustrated portrait for Die Zeit, of the wonderful Nadine Labaki - Lebanese actress, director and activist.
Cheers to Kombinatrotweiss Illustration
I recently had the pleasure of delving into the world of coconuts, palm trees and monkeys and did these studies for Die Zeit Many thanks to Matthias Schuette and Mats Schönauer for being my co-coconut experts 🥥🙌🏽🏝 Thanks also Kombinatrotweiss Illustration 🙏🏻
Had fun with these illustrations for the first issue of In Focus by David Yarrow. Thanks Barns Furr for the great teamwork - can't wait to see what we come up with next🏌♂️✨
Super excited to announce that I'm now represented by Synergy Art in the USA, UK and rest of world (excluding Europe). Really happy to be part of such a talented group of artists and illustrators. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds and what interesting projects and collaborations I can support with my work ✨👁✨
Illustrated portrait of German actor Peter Lohmeyer for Die Zeit 🙏🏻Many thanks to Jutta Schein 💫Cheers to Kombinatrotweiss Illustration
I got into next level detail with this one for Penta magazine, a quarterly publication for Barrons - here's a cross section of the brain including call-outs showing some of the different sections. The article focused on the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, a leading research facility for brain diseases. I've always had a soft spot for natural sciences, really enjoyed piecing the different parts together for this illo. Thanks Kristen Ren for the great teamwork 🙏🏻
Portrait of sociologist Armin Nassehi for the weekly political questionnaire in Die ZEIT. Many thanks Melanie Boege and Jutta Schein! Thanks also to Kombinatrotweiss Illustration ✨
A recent contribution to artist Tina Kohlmann's book "Artefakt & Phantasma". I completed around 29 studies in pencil of her fabulous works of art: masks, ostrich-eggs, shells, rocks - you name it. I'm such a fan of Tina's unique world and feel very humbled and touched to have had another artist trust me to capture their work with my own craft. The book in all its glory was put together by VeryVery.
A plate of sushi I drew a while back for Die Zeit; the writers of the food-column "Wie schmeckt das eigentlich wirklich?" explore the globe in search of the yummiest bites. Many thanks Lara Huck and Kombinatrotweiss Illustration
Part 3. of my series "Management", a personal project from last year.
