🩸 Dracula’s Brides — Collaboration Artwork

Collab with the amazing artist @wonderjulia.art Reference attached below.

This piece is inspired by Van Helsing (2004) — specifically the iconic brides of Dracula. In our collaboration, Julia illustrated Aleera, while I painted Verona. We wanted to capture their hypnotic allure, supernatural elegance, and the eerie stillness of that crimson bath scene.

Working on this was incredibly exciting — especially blending our different styles into one atmospheric illustration. Their expressions, the glossy skin, the unnerving calmness — everything was crafted to show that mix of beauty and danger the Brides are known for.

Taika Waititi's Met Gala look is absolutely everything. I'm obsessed with the whole look, but specifically the lines of his face with the cut of the suit jacket . So I did a little artists interpretation!

I'm incredibly proud of this one, seeing as it's the first face I've drawn in YEARS. Taika is who I want to become as I grow up so to see him express himself in his art and style is so inspiring.

Lo scorso anno scolastico ho avuto in affidamento il cammino di una sezione di bambine e bambini della scuola dell’infanzia di anni 3. Per tutto il tempo che ho trascorso con loro, uno dei punti cardine della mia azione didattica e pedagogica è stato il diritto alla noia, o la cosiddetta pedagogia della lumaca.

Troppo spesso e volentieri, per la persona adulta la noia intesa come inattività è considerata uno spreco di tempo in quanto non produttivo. Anche all’interno dell’organizzazione scolastica ci si aspetta che bambine e bambini siano costantemente impegnati in attività programmate, strutturate e guidate da una persona adulta che ne definisca modalità e tempi. In questo modo i piccoli di esseri umani crescono senza conoscere il dolce far niente di cui millantiamo il valore nelle storie sui social durante tutti i periodi di vacanza. Cresciamo esseri umani frenetici, che sviluppano frustrazione nei tempi dell’attesa e del rilassamento.
