His tag was short for Demetaki, a Greek alternative for his birth-name Demetrius, and the number 183 came from his address on 183rd Street in Washington. He's not interested in how graffity evolved and kept his very simple style. Today he is completely done with this and jut repairing cars. Rumors said he vandalized a secret service car and the Statue of Liberty

I started  writing “IKE 327”  before I wrote ” IZ THE WIZ ” ,which I got from a poster that read, “The Wiz iz a Wow” (This appeared on a on a transit billboard for the musical on Broadway ,”The WIZ” which was a modern version of “The wizard of oz”)  I switch it around and got IZ THE WIZ out it. the first time I put it up, I said this is to good to be true. The name worked out great .
