[Interview] SEHUN in EX’ACT Album (Lucky One and Monster)

Q: If you were born in a family of 9 children, what position would you like to be?
SEHUN: I would like to be the oldest. I want to take care of my siblings, this is like happiness in my busy life. It'll be tiring for sure, so of course there should also be time for myself. But I feel that once we do the things we must do and take care of the people we need to take care of, life would be even more interesting.
Q: If you have a twin or a clone, what type of person would you like him to be?
SEHUN: He should be similar to me...no.. No, he should be my exact opposite. In that case, we will be able to learn from each other. Our way of thinking should be different, too. I like to take care of others, I want to be someone that could help them and someone they can depend on. I believe all these good things you do will eventually come back to you. Sometimes I can't help but wonder, if I die, will there be someone who will feel sad? Among the people who know me, I wonder who will feel sad and heartbroken. I think of this a lot.
Q: If one day you become invisible and only one person could see you, who would you like that person to be?
SEHUN: The woman I love.
Q: What period of the day, and what place do you like?
SEHUN: I like the period before dawn, especially around 1:00, 2:00 in the morning, when everyone is asleep, this time is calm and quiet. I think that kind of atmosphere suits me. And there are some things that you could only feel and think of at that time.
Q: What things are you thinking of during that time?
SEHUN: Just like what everyone of us thinks of, worries, expectations about the future, like that? I think of things about life.
Q: Familiar or unfamiliar, which one do you prefer?
SEHUN: I prefer unfamiliar. 'Familiar' will feel comfortable but unfamiliar places will make you adapt to your surroundings. 'When in Rome, do as the Romans do', the process of adapting to an unfamiliar place you visit is very interesting. You'll meet new people, see new buildings, and certainly you will learn a lot from that. Because of those reasons, I would prefer unfamiliar.
Q: If you were to travel forever, where do you want your home to be in?
SEHUN: I want my home to be in Seoul. Usually the air is not that good in the city, there's a lot of people living around. Once in awhile you could go to a place with not so much people and with fresh air. This is the best.
Q: The first place you've traveled into?
SEHUN: I've traveled to a lot of places, I can't remember where I traveled for the first time. There certainly is one, but I can't remember.
Q: Your travels?
SEHUN: As for traveling, usually there are plans and arrangements for the trip. But I'm not like that. I like impromptu trips. I don't have an arrangement planned out. I don't pack clothes, I don't book hotels, I just take my wallet and go. Going on a trip with my friends is really fun. I'm not certain of what will happen in the future, I just like traveling with my friends, I think this kind of relationship lasts a long time. If there's a place where we could play baseball, I would play.
Q: Is there an experience that broadens your perspective? If yes, what is that?
SEHUN: I like learning and I also like new experiences. So whenever I find something that I can do, I try to do it. I share my experiences to others, to help them. When someone wants to do something, and if in case I have some experience in that matter, I will share it to them because maybe it could help. In order to share it to them, I would like to try to challenge all sorts of things.
Q: If EXO is a movie, what kind of movie would it be? What genre would your life be?
SEHUN: Fantasy movie. If I were to boast, we did things that weren't usually done, and we will do so in the future as well. Each member is different. With regards to genre, then it's certainly not comedy, perhaps a fantasy-action genre? I would like myself to be the main lead but it should be all of EXO. For my life (as a movie), it would be a movie where there are hardships but finally there will be a happy ending. Why must it be 'happy'? Because our members are active these days, including me, my activities are also increasing. Because of these two points.
Q: The thing that is most valuable for you?
SEHUN: There is no one single thing. I think every thing is valuable, each thing is necessary. Whatever it is, it has its own use.. So it is valuable to a certain extent, isn't it? It's difficult to explain, but generally I think all those things are useful.
Q: Have you ever feel that your life is quite perfect?
SEHUN: People have infinite desire for something. Sometimes you can't think of anything, but as you widen your range of activities, there will be things you wish to know more, things you wish to experience. Because of these, there are still some things I hope to accomplish.
Q: When do you feel that day/time is very short?
SEHUN: When I'm happy, When I travel and have fun with my friends, at those moments I feel really happy. At times like that, I forget the pain and burden that I feel. I think those times are really short. When I'm doing things that I don't like, I don't want anything more but for it to end. At times like that, that's when I feel like time is slow. I think people are indeed truly amazing. When we're happy we want it to last until we die. But this feeling of not waiting for anything, we wish to do many other things. I think this is a factor why we push forward. As a result, we could all feel that the concept of time is really short.
Q: If it will be forever day or night, would you want it to be forever daytime? forever nighttime?
SEHUN: Nighttime, especially the time before dawn. The air is refreshing during that time. However, there should be both day and night. Because only if there's daytime will you get to appreciate nighttime.
Q: At which time of the day do you think the sky is the most beautiful?
SEHUN: Dawn. That period of time the sky is really beautiful. Even though the sky is dark, I still like it. In Seoul, you could barely see any star, but I don't care. I'm not someone who gets touched when they see things like that.
Q: There are things that get better over time and there are things that are better when they're new. What can you say about this (?)
SEHUN: Everything that is new for me will be an experience, and I'll learn new things from it. The feelings I will get from those new things will eventually become memories, and these memories will be something worth looking back on. If I were to give an example, it's "relationships". Relationship is the most important part of my life. Don't people get familiar when they spend a long time together? This process of getting familiar with people is interesting. New ones too, when I meet people for the first time, I will also learn new things from them, we'll influence each other. All of these is very interesting.
Q: What is the greatest human invention?
SEHUN: I can't choose just one. All inventions are great. Each thing has their own use. All these things were invented because we need them. Because of them all our lives are more convenient.
Q: If there's a dream you wish to happen, what would it be?
SEHUN: I would like to have a very touching moment. Something big, I don't exactly know what but I want it to be really touching. Something that could make me think, "Ah? How can this be happening?" , something that I won't be able to put into words. These touching moment would come from a person you like, coz if you don't like the person then it's not possible. If you think of a person that you like and how that person moved you or did something that touched you, it's only then when you'll be able to make a touching plan. Without that emotional background, you won't be able to touch someone.
Q: Past, present and future. Which do you think is the most important?
SEHUN: I think future is the most important. The interview has been going on for 10mins and those 10mins have already passed, right? Every moment will become the 'past' and we are moving towards the future. Present...is too vague. Can we view this time now as 'the present'? Look at the big picture, let's say the start of the interview is the present...but if you think about it, if every minute and every second is passing, isn't it now a thing of the past. Time is like flowing water. So I think that the future is more important. That's what I think.
Q: Is there a time when someone influenced your life?
SEHUN: I feel it everyday. When I find something delicious, I would say come with me next time. If some unhappy things happen, they'll come to me directly. When happy events happen, we share it with each other. People who are near might not be the closest to me. The value of these people is great. You cannot assess its worth. These people are the first that I think of, the people I could not set aside.
Q: What is your life compass?
SEHUN: How do I explain this. If it's going forward or backward, left or right, and there is a fork in the road (road/intersection split into two different directions), I'll choose this forked road. This road has advantages and disadvantages, new and unusual. But you will only fully understand once you experience it. Many people have chosen those other roads so we have a lot of information about those, you can go through those roads even if you don't have much experience. But it's not like that with forked roads/split roads, you will not know unless you try...these paths might be faster, safer and more interesting. The drawback is that there are many turns, and if you're not careful you might end up where you originally started. This is where you need the help of others who will walk with you, and in this road you will depend on each other. Together, you can face all twists and turns and overcome the difficulties of life. Perhaps I didn't choose the ordinary roads because I've experienced the extraordinary because of EXO. In short, I want to experience more things, learn more things and become someone that can help others. To walk down the road where we can learn from each other.
MONSTER Interview

Q: What is the earliest memory you have?
SEHUN: When I was 4? 5 years old? I remember playing games in the neighbourhood. Where you insert 100 won coins and it’ll keep on shooting. Was it ‘Snow Brothers’? I also played ‘King of Fighters’ a lot. I usually played alone. I played in front of the stationery store. I was the best in King of Fighters in our neighbourhood. At that time, 100 won is a big amount. I had to line up in order to play the game using the money that I saved myself. The more difficult it is, the more we cherish it and care about it. I think I was like that when I was younger.
Q: If you can go back in time, what time in your life do you wish to go back to?
SEHUN: When I was a baby, a newborn baby. When I was still in my mother’s womb. There are many things I’m sad and regretful of. If I could go back in time, I want to make those things better and make everyone happier. But I’m also very happy now, I don’t want to go back.
Q: When do you feel that you’re like an adult?
SEHUN: I think we become adults only when we become parents. I can’t really explain well but I think it is when I can feel “I grew up so much”, when I understand the people I like and they understand me as well, and when I could be helpful to someone and they accept my sincerity.
Q: Do you have any moment where you get away from other’s expectations towards you?
SEHUN: When I play. Even for a short time, I let go of everything and just play/loosen up. And then after that, I’ll come back to my senses. Just like how a screw has to be loosen up in order for it to get tightened, I think it’s the same for people. You need to loosen up once and then umm! let’s give it a try. You only tighten yourself more when you keep worrying and being restless.
Q: What do you think is the most important thing in order to achieve your goal?
SEHUN: The typical answer would be “I have to work hard”. But I think that is a kind of question that has typical answers. I think the answer is doing your best in everything you do while working hard for your dreams and goals. I think there are no certain answers on how people live. But I really think this is the answer.
Q: When you’re doing something, which do you think is more important, the process or the result?
SEHUN: The result. But the process is important, too. Of course you should also work hard but personally, no matter how good the process is, the result has to be good if you are to show it to someone. I, myself, have to be satisfied with it. Though you could be comforted by a good process, too, but I think it’s very regrettable and unfortunate if the result isn’t good.
Q: What are you most afraid of?
SEHUN: Drowning in anxiety and getting worried about being caught for lying in a time I had no choice. Even if it’s a white lie. Because trust will be lost.
Q: What do you think is the most important to understand and accept others?
SEHUN: I think the most important is to be honest, without lies. You can feel it right, when something isn’t true. But anyway, I think we meet other people because there are things we could gain from one another. (I can’t understand this part, sorry ㅜㅜ)
Q: What do you think is the reason why people change?
SEHUN: I think the stepping stone or point is different for each person but there are people who don’t change. Of course you will change as you grow. It’s different for every person but I think that the more you meet people, the bigger your influence is on how that person changes.
Q: Will that change be because of internal or external factors?
SEHUN: I think you will experience the external factors first, and then look back and think of these factors internally. I think it’s like growing as you meet new people, experiences and learn new things. You get to learn new things, learn about other fields aside from yours. I think meeting people will leave you a lot of impact.
Q: What is it that will not change even if the people around you change?
SEHUN: I think the way I treat others will be the same. The honest attitude and how I care for people. Although I think it’s kind of bad when even the closest people to you change, I don’t think that ‘change’ itself is bad. It’s alright to change, we grow as we change. For example, when I was a trainee, I was a shy little kid. Now, because everyone worked hard, we’re now at a good position, so I don’t think we will be intimidated like in the past.
Q: Do you like clear or ambiguous things?
SEHUN: I like things that are clear. I really don’t like things that results to nothing. I like things with validity. Things that can enlighten others. I’m like that when I’m in public places. For personal places, perhaps ambiguous things? I’m quite a free person.
Q: Do you believe in coincidence or do you believe in the inevitable?
SEHUN: I think both exist. In human relationships, these coincidences they just come unexpectedly . It comes when you don’t think about it. I don’t know about the inevitable.
Q: What is the thing that can’t be seen that you deem the most important?
SEHUN: Emotions. I think that all feelings are important. I believe that when we meet people, we don’t just communicate with them through languages, but we communicate through our emotions as well. We would know just by looking. When your feelings change, your expressions change accordingly. I want to see it once, how we express the emotions. I think people are really mysterious. I want to see clearly, how people were created.
Q: If there is only one thing that would last forever in the world, what do you hope it would be?
SEHUN: People. I believe if people exists, everything is possible. I think somehow they will manage to continue living. Even if there are only people, even if there are no games or phones, we can still laugh just by talking.
Q: Please tell us how you feel after ending EXO PLANET #2 The EXO’luXion.
SH: Through 44 concerts, we get to visit a lot of countries all over the world. It was a really great time. Especially whenever I learn something about the fans throughout this tour. Fans from Asia tear for us, they cheer loudly and excitedly as they enjoy EXO’s performances, seeing them like that makes me feel their passion and so I become serious on a whole new level. I always thought that I should be the kind of artist who can connect with the fans’ hearts like that. During the North America tour, I think the fans are more like the “having fun while listening to the music” type as they take in EXO songs’ melody, because there are some of them who do not know our songs. Although they sang Growl with us, there are songs that aren’t fully known to them. But despite that, they danced whenever they hear EXO’s songs being played. They enjoy the music with their whole bodies and because of that the concert was really fun.
Q: After completing those 44 concerts, it seems like you have more confidence now. Which aspect do you think have grown in you personally?
SH: Performing on stage was not an easy task for me. Whenever I hear the fans cheer passionately, I get nervous. I tell myself ‘ah I can’t make a mistake’. On the outside, it may seem like I’m not nervous at all but in reality I’m really nervous in the inside. However, as we go through the 44 concerts, I slowly build up confidence so I’m more relaxed whether in performing or saying ment. I even acquired showmanship as well.
Q: <Baby Don’t Cry> is also know as <물(water) Don’t Cry>. It was a performance with water. How was it an opportunity for you?
SH: Director Shim Jaewon-nim suggested that it would be cool if Kai hyung and I do a performance that involves water for Baby Don’t Cry. Of course, I imagined it to be a very cool performance. Kai hyung and I are in the dancing line that’s why we fit very well. Despite my age, I have a sexy image/side. Hahaha! Did our visual chemistry turn out good? It did right? Hahaha.
Q: Isn’t it more difficult to dance to a ballad song? How was it?
SH: I think all performances/dance are difficult, despite what kind of music it is. Different genres have different atmospheres based on the expressions you use in performing the dance. For a ballad song, you have to blend in with the melody.
Q: What do you mean by blending in with the melody?
SH: Doing certain expressions and gestures to fit the melody. Dancing is like acting, so you should be very careful with the details. In a ballad music, the rhythm is slow. Performance completion is also very important.
Q: <Baby Don’t Cry> is a performance with only you on the spotlight, so there should be a lot of thought in your movements. Which point do you focus on when you practice?
SH: While being on the same stage as Kai hyung, I wanted to exude a different feeling from him on stage. Although the movements are the same, I wanted to show a different kind of atmosphere so the audience can watch it more interestingly. I monitor Kai hyung’s dance and make effort on showcasing a slightly different tone/mood. Kai hyung’s dance is filled with feelings of a conventional performance, while mine seems casual yet also cool performance.
Q: In <Baby Don’t Cry> stage, we saw a glimpse of your sexy image. What do you think?
SH: Isn’t it because I’m soaked in water? Haha. In the stage, I’m all wet from head to toe, my clothes are wet as well so the outline of the body can be seen. That’s why I worked out harder. In the Japan concert, my shirt is unbuttoned all the way as to give emphasis to sexiness. Because it was a time where I worked out a lot, the timing was perfect. Because SJW-nim said to do <Baby Don’t Cry> performance in water, I wanted to show it properly.
Q: When Baekhyun asked you to wink, you turned really shy. Are you the type to get shy when doing a wink?
SH: I can’t wink. It’s not for me. In fact, I’m not really fond of doing such cute things. There are lots of ways to convey my feelings to the fans besides winking. I mainly look at the fans’ eyes for a long time. I hope we can look at each other for a long time.
Q: When you were filming for the “date” VCR for the concert, you made the most NGs out of all the members. Are you originally a really shy person?
SH: I am. If I were to act in a drama or movie, I get really shy even while having a script to read. But if a scene is like that kind, I’ll get shy even more. If I was in that situation, I think I’ll not wipe the foam off of my girlfriend’s lips myself. I’d probably say “What’s that on your lips? Wipe it.”. But in order for the fans to see, I did it. I was so shy up to the point that I cringed. But it seems like the fans enjoyed it so I’m satisfied.
Q: There was an accident at the 4th Seoul concert. Your head was accidentally hit by the camera. What was the first thing that came to your mind?
SH: It was really painful. Then it was bleeding. When I saw the blood I panicked. I had to get off the stage, but there are thousands of fans who went there, how could I get off the stage? But I thought about it again, and thought that it’s a better judgment to temporarily get off the stage. So I came down, went to the waiting room and got treatment.
Q: When you injured yourself, you still went up to the stage and said your ment. Why did you shed tears?
SH: I went up on stage first before I head to the hospital. I went up on stage to personally explain to the fans what had happened. But as I walk up to the stage, my tears started to fall and I don’t really know why. Maybe it’s because I felt sorry towards the fans because I can’t complete the performance for the concert. I felt bad that I couldn’t show the fans the stages that the members and I prepared for them. Whenever I see the video of me crying, I feel so embarrassed and asked myself why did I cry.
EXO’luXion Photobook - SEHUN Backstage Interview
Q: With EXO members together on one stage, the time is very enjoyable and off the stage is also a happy time for you. How do you feel when you practice with them?
SH: If I were to describe, it would be both painful and happy, because the practice is very tiring physically but the mood is very good. Although the time and practice before we go on stage is very hard, the feeling of wanting to show it to the fans and thinking of how will they react to our complete performance makes me excited. I also have fun with the hyungs during practice.
Q: In EXO Planet #2 The EXOluXion, you spent many nights in different cities, what do you mainly do at night before the concert?
SH: I eat a lot and then go to bed early. In order to be in my best condition the next day, I take health supplements and take a lot of rest.
Q: In the waiting room, which member do you usually chat with?
SH: All members. I talk to them about daily happenings, we often talk about games or TV programs and so on. Thinking about it, we don’t talk about anything regarding the concert. Haha!
Q: Do you have know-hows on how to ease the pressure and calm down before the concert?
SH: I may not seem nervous on stage, but before the stage I somehow get really sensitive. I don’t eat anything two hours before the show, not even rice. If I eat before the show, the food might not be digested well and my stomach might feel uncomfortable. So I don’t eat no matter how hungry I am. That’s why after the concert, I’m really very tired because I’m hungry. So at the end of the concert, I immediately go eat dinner.
Q: Do you still feel nervous even if it’s already your second tour?
SH: I think even if it’s the 10th tour I would still feel nervous but also excited at the same time. Will I feel different on our 100th tour? Haha!
Q: You said in the concert before “I felt a bit empty but then I found out I’m just hungry”. Do you really feel empty after the concert?
SH: I feel empty every time. After the concert, as I walk down the stage my mind goes blank. I’m always taken aback by the empty feeling. That’s why I spend time with the hyungs. I am a person who likes to be around people rather than be alone. But somehow I feel alone after concert. While eating dinner, the hyungs and I talk and the empty feeling is being cured (gotten rid off?).. It’s sad that after the concert we’ll have to go separate ways. That hollow feeling lessens a lot when we’re together so that’s why I don’t like to be alone after the concert.
Q: Why do you feel empty?
SH: Because it was a really enjoyable time with the fans for 3 hours. On a gorgeous stage, we conveyed each other’s feelings of happiness. But once we get off the stage, the feelings suddenly disappear. I could really feel the big difference. I wonder do the fans also feel empty after the concert? I once looked at the fan site (fancafe) and I saw fans commenting that they feel empty after the concert. Now I know that the fans and I feel the same way.
Q: The time you spend with EXO members after the concert must be really precious, it show how much you love the members. Who are you most envious of in EXO?
SH: Xiumin hyung who is very mature. He doesn’t interfere but instead shows his support in the background. When there’s a problem, he says his words really carefully but those words are all so powerful. On the other hand, he does aegyo very well and he’s always full of aegyo on shows. Suho hyung who is our reliable leader. Whenever the members have a problem, they will always look for Suho hyung. Doesn’t this sentence explain it all? Lay hyung’s passion for music is really amazing. I really want to be like him. I also carry a passion for music, and I want to be an artist who has passion for music even more. Chanyeol hyung is very optimistic in everything. He has a bright and warm personality. Especially, Chanyeol hyung’s positivity is a really strong point. I hope he won’t lose this bright side of him. Baekhyun hyung is a warm-hearted person. He takes good care of EXO as well as the staffs. I think Chen hyung is very comfortable but also very difficult. Why? Because he’s so kind. He is so kind like a fool (**truly very kind to the extent of being like a fool**). So I am more careful as to what I talk to him about because I know that hyung will be very considerate of me. And also when a problem arises in the team, he takes charge in solving the problem. No matter how I see it, I feel like D.O. hyung is that hyung who I can talk about almost everything. Whatever worry I share with him, he calmly listens and then gives me rational advice. And D.O. hyung is the type who will do something if he decides on it. Whatever he decides to do, he will do it completely with his best and full effort. He is a cool hyung. Kai hyung’s concentration will never be hindered no matter what. His concentration on stage is very good, and if there’s something that fascinates him, he will put his full concentration to it and be engrossed in it until until he masters it. He’s someone you can trust.
SEHUN’s strong points according to the hyungs
XIUMIN: Because Sehun is the maknae, whatever he does is cute. I also think he is the most handsome in EXO. Also, I could say that he somehow have this high class aura. He is tall and in my standards, he gets the 1st place in good looks in EXO! Haha. You could really see how much Sehun likes his hyungs. He wants EXO to be together always. There are times that I feel sorry towards Sehun because I couldn’t spend more time with him. I will use this opportunity to say something to him. Sehun-ah, you know hyung’s heart, right? I love you!
SUHO: Sehun is a person with lots of affection. He believes that relationship with people is very important. I once saw Sehun cry because of what our staff did before. When I saw that I felt that Sehun really does have a warm heart.
LAY: Sehun is very good-looking. He’s tall. Haha. His good looks is a strong point and I’m really envious of how handsome he is. Hahaha. There are times that being the maknae is tough but he takes care of the hyungs really well. I like his bright personality.
BAEKHYUN: Our maknae Sehun is really cute! There are times where he disobeys us but it doesn’t really matter because he’s cute. He has improved in his recent stages and I’m really proud of him.
CHANYEOL: Sehun is the member I hang out and talk to a lot. It may seem like he’s a person who jokes around a lot but in reality he’s a very deep person. He has a realistic personality and that helps EXO a lot. There are things that we can’t do anything about even if we worked hard for it and Sehun is the one who makes realistic judgments.
CHEN: Sehun is really cute. Whatever he says or does is still cute and I like that about him. I hope Sehun stays the same in the future.
D.O.: Sehun-ee, ah… That kid has strong focus. He is usually cute like a maknae but once we start our activities he shows great focus on doing them. EXO members all have great ambitions/desires to complete a stage but Sehun’s desire is really strong.
KAI: Sehun is very loyal. He always thinks of the members and that’s why he’s very loyal. I think loyalty is Sehun’s best trait. The loyalty that Sehun gives is what will come back to him as well.
Sehun is one of the best dressers in EXO. With his 181cm height, face the size of a fist and his 'normcore' style he became a Rank 0 (top priority) in fashion events.
When asked about Sehun's fashion sense, EXO stylist Lee Deokmin said in an interview for a lifestyle magazine, "Sehun thoroughly studies the material and how it can be used very carefully" and added, "Sehun might be young, but his mindset for shopping is very mature". Flaunting the ordinary and yet absolutely extraordinary 'normcore look' casual yet stylish fashion.
Now let's look at Sehun's "normcore look"!
1. Basics
In Sehun's style, there is no such thing as "too much". Matching basic items will make the look superior. So colorful accessories and colorful items are taboo. In the recent Dior launching event, Sehun completed his "dandy look" with a shirt, jacket, black jeans, sneakers and basic items.
2. Black Color
Generally, the people who are into fashion tend to like the "black color", same with Sehun, but even using black items can give a unique look based on different fabrics and designs in order to complete the stylish "normcore look".
3. Comfort
In order to look "cool" every day, must one drop comfort? That is not the attitude of a true fashionista. Comfortability and style should both be acquired in order to be a real fashionista. A few months ago, there are rumors about filming a webdrama called "Dear Archimedes". This webdrama is an adaptation of Jiu Yue Xi's novel with the same name. The male lead 'Yan Su' was set to be offered to EXO's Oh Sehun, but because of the sudden ban for Korean artists' activities, the cast selection had been confusing. But after several twists and turns, going back and forth on the casts, the choice for male lead had never once wavered. While the female lead was first said to be Dilraba, now articles say it's Xu Ling Yue.
Let's go back to the role of the male lead. Why do the producers of this drama, despite the twists and turns in the industry, still hold on and didn't give up Oh Sehun?
1. High popularity
Sehun's popularity is really high. For example, in Weibo topic, Oh Sehun is the only Korean artist to maintain highest votes/reads/views, ranking firsts Most Popular Korean artist monthly poll. Let's not forget the amount of albums the fans bought. EXO's popularity is NO JOKE. So, with this potential for Chinese market, the investors and advertisers had set their eyes on Oh Sehun.
2. Humble, Low-Key
Sehun has always been doing activities with EXO as a group. Even when he opened a Weibo account, in addition to his Weibo posts to share with the fans, he also made posts to promote their group activities. When they said that a cute kid is waiting for the photoshoot, I was really surprised *laughs*. I also have a dog, a Bichon Frise, it's a male dog. In fact his name is the same as the name of the magazine, he’s also called “VIVI”.
This is the first time in my life that I’ve raised a pet. He’s one year old but he’s small, pure white and really cute~♡ It was a year ago when I saw him. That time I was in a slump because of my worries in singing and dancing, that’s when I saw Vivi at the pet shop. I was like, “This little one is definitely going to give me strength!”, it was like fate. So without hesitation, I decided to welcome him to my family.
I was really worried when picking a name for him *laughs*. When it comes to dog’s name, there are a lot of cute ones like “Choco”, but I am determined to live with this kid(Vivi) so I decided to name him “Vivi’, it means “alive/live" in French. [I think Sehun meant "life", in French it's "vie" (vi)] Aside from the days I have work, I am with Vivi from morning till night, even when we sleep. I particularly like the time when we walk along the river. Thinking of Vivi like this, it really makes me melt. I really love (Vivi).

Speaking of support, other than Vivi, the people who give me support are none other than.. my EXO members. Whenever a member has a problem, the others will listen, I think it’s an important thing. We know each other well since we’ve been together for a long time. I am the “maknae” in EXO but there are no rules like ‘you’re younger/older’, we treat each other like really close friends. I respect the hyungs who are always looking after me with their warm affection. I’m a very shy person and I’m not good at expressing my feelings. But there are a lot of times when I feel sad or happy that I cried in front of the members. I’m a man but actually I am someone with a lot of tears.
When I’m with the members, we play games among ourselves. We have fun and play noisily. It's more of a "war" than a game. All members are competitive and have a strong will to win, especially Chanyeol hyung and Baekhyun hyung, they hate losing more than I do. So whenever I play against the two of them, I lose intentionally…..because I’m an adult *laughs*

When I was young, I had a lot of dreams like being a fireman or a president or a soccer player, etc. Then I was casted when I was just a normal elementary student. From then on, the dream of becoming an artist, that I never imagined, has started. (the scan is only up to this part >.<)
EXO receives a lot of support from a lot of fans, but we are still in the road to our dreams. This time we have to put in more effort and work harder to strengthen our bond as one. Our goal is to continue and face everyone with our sincere hearts and honest feelings.
Also, I hope in the future I could meet a girl with good sense, who is also cute and smart. But, as I have said before, I’m not good at talking to people, regardless of gender. Q: Tell us about your impressions when you saw Chen-kun's previous shoot.
A: When I saw HAPPY mode pictures of Chen hyung, it's like his usual self. I think among the people I know, he is the person with the most positive mind and happy aura. Also in the SORROW mode, I don't think I've seen his sorrowful expression up to now. His smile.. Chen hyung's smile is EXO's treasure...
Q: Tell us a recent episode with Chen-kun?
A: There was this time when we went for a drink after a concert. He made me laugh and cheered me up, when I am a little depressed I talk to him and I feel better, Chen hyung is a brother I can really depend on. There are times we aren't able to meet because of individual schedules, but when we do he's always so happy to see me. I feel really blessed. More than anything else, I want to thank him, he is my source of happiness.
