I have finally made Nothing Gold a website! This project is really precious to me, something Iâve been brewing for years that pulls from every corner of my experience: A Canadian noir about deals with demons in the dark, something like Satanic Sailor Moon. Updates weekly!

âHistoriesâ Limited edition (numbered out of 30) print for Rose City Comicon! Table F007
Hey friends! My account was compromised, so I have had to remake it!
Iâll be at Boston Fan Expo, and Flamecon this August with the zine that I debuted at Vancaf. I am so excited to be returning to the east coast after last years fabulous Ostara Tarot signing with Red Feather at NYCCC! Iâm still on twitter @pommejane
The Kickstarter for my new deck of Werewolf cards is up! As you can see, the deck includes a colourful cast of fun characters. I had so much fun illustrating this game, and it was quite a departure from my usual look as seen in the Ostara Tarot. One of my favourite things about this career is the fact that I can be a chameleon and keep things stylistically unpredictable.Â
Please check out the campaign and the reward tiers, and if youâd like a deck, snatch one up! Thank you all!
Krista here; suit of Swords illustrator. Youâd think after working on the Ostara Tarot for as long as I did, Iâd be done with cards for a little while. But nope! I recently finished illustrating my Werewolf deck, based on the popular party game. I am aiming to Kickstart is soon, so keep an eye out!
UPDATE: Itâs live everybody! Please go check it out here. :)
Fox on the Table has had an all over update. Editing, relettering, and most deliciously-Painting! All in anticipation of the release of the Graphic Novel and Artbook for Emerald City Comic Con! Read the latest update here.Â
Hereâs a preview of my #emeraldcitycomicon #monstersanddames submission that was accepted for the 2018 book that raises money for the Seattle Childrenâs hospital.
Huge shout out to @neomeruru and @broadstone_props for encouraging me to submit and putting up with process spam.
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT~ Three of our girls, Eden, Krista, and Molly with be at New York Comic Convention on Friday the 6th at a Red Feather event, signing decks! If youâre local, please come see us! We may even have some little goodies to give away ;)

âAT SOME POINT, PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE âMENTALLY ILLâ; THEY USE THIS AS A CRUTCH.â So they say.
Imagine this: You wake up one morning with this little beast sitting on your chest. While it is vaguely demonic, itâs little and overall not so troublesome. It might make it difficult to get out of bed sometimes, it bores easily and tells you that your life isnât fulfilling. Itâs a pest more than anything, sometimes you stay home because you donât want your friends to put up with this creepy little asshole.
The beast grows. Every beast is different. Some find struggle to be a most nutritious meal and rocket up to six feet tall. Others might sprout at a predictable and melancholic pace. Some are born already with the heft of an elephant.
When itâs no longer a little pup snapping at your heels, people start to notice. They wonder why you have chosen this pet and theyâre tired of it shitting on their carpet.
(Bear with me, this is a common metaphor. For damned good reason. Who doesnât want to see mental illness like a demented pokemon they canât shake? I choose youâŚ!)
Eight foot beast is tired of walking around behind you and it wants to be carried. If you donât haul this thing up onto your back, it is going to run wild and gnaw on the people around you. A savage beast will bite the faces right off of your loved ones. This is the point you âchooseâ mental illness. You choose to look this thing in itâs fanged face, to look over the full extent of your burden. It probably gets a few cranky hits on you at this juncture. Youâre bleeding, and youâre terrified, but every time youâve tried to send the thing away it has returned with a vengeance. Sometimes, it has returned in the shadow behind you and you didnât notice until you found your house in wreckage.

One of our authors writes on one of her strongest artistic drives: Depression.
(TOP: Julia, Molly, Krista, Eden) The artists had a joyful reunion at our unboxing! It was an unexpected delight to have our author copies delivered. Holding our artwork in our hand, gilded and glittering, and sharing this moment with such good company was the stuff of modern fairytales.
Thank you, again, those who have been following our journey. You have given our illustrations voices with your readings. We are endlessly grateful. And thank you to my fellow witches, these three women who are forces of nature, who can create such sublime worlds with a pencil. It has been an honour to be held a place in this unexpected coven.
