“Maybe.” Once again, digits steal back the note only to set it aside on her desk. Frankly, the decision had been made but given his question, Daniella wondered if he knew. “Why? Is that what /you/ want me to do?” Figure leans back against the edge of her desk as eyes set on the actor. A brow rising in curiosity as she awaits an answer of some kind. “You never said anything about wanting to spend it together.”

If any other woman had asked that to him, he’d honestly think she was trying to be irritating and dramatic, but with Daniella, he knew she was sincere. So he was able to breathe out deeply to release his growing annoyance and calm down before his temper could flare.

“Because I wasn’t sure if it was something you would be interested in,” he told her honestly, hands shoving into the pockets of his jeans now, “I mean, we’ve only been on one date so far. You haven’t really given any indication as to whether you’d want to go out again, so I’ve been trying to be good and respect the fact you probably wanted distance or something.” Hearing himself say that, though, made Gage smiled sheepishly.

“...Okay, that might have been dumb, but you see where I’m coming from, right? I don’t want to cross any lines here, and I figured asking you out for Valentine’s Day would be pushing it still. But I mean... I’m not your boyfriend or anything serious like that, so... I have no right to say whether or not I want you to go out with other guys. If you want to... I can’t stop you.”

“Oh?” A humored smile spreads as she sets the vase at the edge of her desk. The small envelope plucked free to read the contents but it was merely a time and place along with a small confession before their signature. “And it looks like they want to go on a date.”

“A date?” he repeated, genuinely surprised now. Gage took the paper from her hand, looking over the note with raised brows. “Huh. Well... You’re going to turn them down, right?” Not only because he knew how Daniella felt about mixing business with personal, but also because Gage hoped she wouldn’t consider dating another man when he wasn’t even sure if they were really an item or not yet.

Looking up from his script to her, Gage frowned thoughtfully for a moment before shaking his head. “No. I know you don’t like public lovey stuff like that, so your gift is at your apartment,” he told her, standing and heading over to Daniella to glance at the flowers she held.

“Hm. I guess you have an admirer? Though, that doesn’t surprise me you are the biggest catch in this building~” he added with a playful smile.
