I’m back on my bullshit. Anneemay and Boobieteriat were my old (unjustly terminated) blogs. Anyway...here’s the deal: I’m a pro-piracy librarian from Malaysia, I’m tme lesbian, and I’m hitting 35 this December.
I don’t care how you feel about pirating stuff off the internet. It doesn’t clash with my ethics and beliefs, full stop. You can just call me Anne.

Of course, as a Muslim, believing in the existence of jinns and other unseen beings that was stated in the Qur'an and hadith is wajib but many Muslim jurists said if there's among us claim to be able to see what Allah has made hidden from us (jinns, angels and the likes), that person should be considered a fasiq (untrustworthy). Only Prophets can see those beings.
This is the opinion that Imam Al-Syafi'i holds. The Hanbali school also said that claiming to be able to see jinns and such things is a sign of a liar. Etc. efc
So, that's also my personal position on the supernatural.
help a vulnerable young woman avoid survival sex work!
a friend of mine on bluesky is helping raise funds for her friend Eve, who is currently at significant risk of ending up on the streets due to excessive medical bills from emergencies and health issues.
shes only 18, has no supportive family, and is having to decide between going homeless or returning to dangerous (for her) survival sex work.
her gofundme is half funded right now!
please consider a donation - even one as small as $5 will help! - or, at the very least, a signal boost!
honestly it’s less about marjane satrapi and persepolis and more about how that’s the only narrative the western world views as factual or even worth reading
same thing with authors like khaled hosseini. their works show one perspective, a perspective in a sea of different experiences, one that conveniently paints western imperialist agendas in a positive light and even more conveniently becomes the only narrative ever published for western audiences
you can acknowledge someone’s experiences, but you should always ask yourself why, for example, books like this became required reading in many schools alongside other writings meant to shape your opinion a certain way about a certain region and religion
marjane satrapi was an open zionist and khaled hosseini was welcomed by george w. bush at the white house. Hosseini wrote in his fictional book Kite Runner:
"There are only three real men in this world, Amir," he'd say. He'd count them off on his fingers: America the brash savior, Britain, and Israel. "The rest of them--" he used to wave his hand and make a phht sound "--they're like gossiping old women."
In Baba's view, Israel was an island of "real men" in a sea of Arabs too busy getting fat off their oil to care for their own. "Israel does this, Israel does that," Baba would say in a mock-Arabic accent.
I'm watching this ghost story on YouTube. It made me remember the time I stayed in an (allegedly) haunted hostel facing a swamp. My roommates are cool, but they're always in a state of anxiety after dark because they're afraid of the things they have seen and claim to always see, so they always disappear on the weekends. But I always said and still say to this day that I never actually see anything so direct like a whole apparition, unlike them. I do have strong memories of being scared of something though, but today I'd say it is just my mind giving shape to something I assume was there.
Now, I'm saying this because it made me remember there was a time I was so scared of being alone on the weekend that I underwent some sort of hallucination born of rigid denialism of what was happening. I hallucinated my roommates being there for the whole weekend even though they weren't there. My neighbors even conducted a check on me, asked me if I was okay staying alone. I said I'm okay.
I just binge-watching anime on my laptop in the dark and chatting with my mom on the phone in a desperate attempt to control my fear. And I just pretended my roommates were in their own room, but I think I might have pretended too hard because I hallucinated the bedroom doors shaking. But I didn't scream through; I just convinced my brain that my roommates were there. So I went to my bed and just slept. The same thing happened on the next day. And I somehow just shrugged it off.
It's actually possible to hallucinate yourself into courage...that's the lesson here.
My roommate and I have until the 14th to scrape together enough money for a place to stay until we can start work in mid-August. My mom is directly responsible for this and there was nothing we could have done to avoid it. We have no family and no friends who are able to take us in or help us. We have a lot of cats we are going to need to get rid of. I do not see any options for us. We are in Northern California. Please contact me if you can help, or just share this post. We have almost no money to our name right now and donations would also help toward temporary housing. Please share if you can’t help. Please
It looks like Americans and other US-adjacent folks on Tumblr dot com have already forgotten that the US is the one who started the war against Iran by bombing a school full of children.
You have to consider that the darkness is not darkness until the light shows up and forces it into a shape that didn’t exist in the first place. Can you blame the dark for reacting so negatively? The light encroaches into a space that used to be one and united. Not only that, the light posit itself as 'good' because it assumes it is the one that gives shape to what couldn't be perceived before.
"the War on Terror being a humane and effective means of removing the threat of global terrorism while China's Xinjiang Anti-Terrorism campaign being a literal genocide".
like ok allegedly the white people in Northern Ireland terrorizing mainly Black people and poc are British loyalists and not “real Irish” but that video stating that is showing more concern for the white Irish people currently hiding in their homes “in fear” of harm, while real life Black people are actively being harmed lmao like??? get up! if you say you’re not like these white supremacists than show up in defense for the Black people currently being mobbed by people who look like you!
paying liberal lip service does nothing but make sure history doesn’t remember you as the “actual bad guys”, just the cowardly bystanders & it damn sure doesn’t make any moves to protect anyone Black!

My friend Mickie (@frivolousfuckery) and their baby will be homeless in 8 days unless we can help them pay rent.
Their bills are late, but not so late that utilities will be cut off, so for now, we’re focusing on rent and living expenses.
Rent (due June 5): $250/$1500
General living expenses: $0/$200
My previous post got several hundred reblogs over the last month, but only a handful of donations. I know not everyone can afford to give, but if you have a spare $5 or $10, please send it to them — small donations add up.
Venmo and cashapp are preferred, because that way, they can access the money immediately without having to pay a withdrawal fee.
Not being able to pay their phone bill led to the loss of their previous job
Their current job pays $2.35/hour plus tips
Their cat ran away a week and a half ago
They are currently very sick and coughing up blood
Their mode of transportation (that they need to get to work) needs two tires replaced
Reasons you should help:
They are disabled
They are trans
They have a 6-month-old baby
Their birthday is this week
They’re just going through a really hard time right now, and everyone deserves food and shelter
One other thing that could help is if anyone is willing and able to co-sign on a $3000 loan they were approved for. It has a monthly repayment of $112, which they can afford, they just need a co-signer with a credit score of over 700.
Daily reminder to Americans on this website that American war on Iran is bad because Iranians are getting killed not because you can no longer afford going to the movies in the weekends or refill your car 😒
People that are not Americans doing this performative American hate always makes me laugh. Not that American criticism is unfounded but so many people wanna be mad at America soooooo bad...
But still use good ol' tumblr.com in full English. Still taking the time to explain global policy to the ignorant Americans. Making a PSA because a bunch of Americans got under your skin. Refrences literally the whole rest of the world as "non-Americans".
I wonder if these people secretly wish they could experience being American or something. Outside looking in and so so so grumpy about it.
It’s not performative. We actually really, really hate you. We are using English because it's the only language you monolingual fascists could read, and you could barely even read a whole sentence before you come on my posts acting like our hate toward you Americans is performative. We are not jealous of you people. We are sick of you.
And I'm not taking this lecture from a men-worshipping transphobe.
Y'know I always thought I hallucinated an imaginary talk show where a stand up comedian sit on a round table looking all serious to explain to his peers what faggot means but it's actually a thing that happened on TV (I just don't remember the name of the show exactly)
It was a comedy special to commerate Pride I think.
Obama winning the election brought out a lot of odd attempts to be seemingly progressive on tv...
