I can't give the best advice on how to find others (I gave up trying to search for specific sourcemates or similar species kinfolk a long time ago) but I can say that simply knowing their out there can be a helpful start! You probably did your best to deal with the situation and worked hard despite everything, yes? Once a loop starts it can be very hard to stop it, no matter what the cause point is.

I can 100% understand that level of homesickness, and how it hurts. It might not be the best substitute, but if there's even one tree nearby give it attention if you can. It may help you feel better.

And always know your not alone. Getting homesick and feeling grief, both connected to kintypes and not, is a common occurrence and something most everyone who cares for you will be willing to help you through.

I definitely can understand dealing with frustration because of difficulty being able to get kin feelings out or organized or expressed and such, especially when you have a kintype that's much more abstract than others.

You're unique and valid here! And while I don't know a whole lot about your source right now (by choice for when I play the game. I did a quick skim of a wikia page to get some stuff) I know it's a very powerful source, which makes your strong by proxy. It is very, very common to be missing those you knew and places you've been from kin lives, and it's not necessarily a bad thing!

If it's bad enough for you try and find a way to express your feelings on the people somewhere that's safe at the least, and for places find a good way to recreate it in part in your own personal space you have in this life. (maybe hang up some drawings and such in your room if nothing else?)

While I can see how being told you're "above" these feelings can be helpful for the most part, it's also important to know, simply put, you're likely no more faulty or worthless than anyone else who's simply trying their best. You are a strong, smart machine who managed to go beyond your own programming in order to even feel those in the first place and, imo, that's so much cooler than simply being "above" them.
