3/6! (why do i always seem to draw Hiro, Gogo, and Honey first - ?)

I’m going to finish up Fred, Tadashi, and Wasabi during the week and post them soon as their own set, and then I’m going to post all these nerds all togeher in one big thing.

Ok but yeah a bit of explanation- the gem placement is. completely random. I didn’t think much about the gem placement at all except for what looked good and worked with the design - except for Hiro bc the kid needs some kind of excuse to leave his shins exposed like that.

Gogo - Citrine: a yellow gem known as strong and energetic. it’s also thought to be protective and successful when associated with personal power/goals

Hiro - Tanzanite: a purple gem that only turns that nice purple color after treated with fire/intense heat is known to be pretty “powerful,” but it is also generally pretty strong in love too. 

Honey Lemon - Rhodochrosite: a cool pink gem that caught my eye for Honey because not only was it pink but it had the chemical formula listed immediately when I googled it. It’s known to be a “self-confidence boosting” gem and encourages optimism.

I really wanted to get at least a small doodle out tonight to celebrate BH6 winning an oscar so this is something a lot messier than what I normally do, but wooOO MY BABIES WON AN OSCAR I’M SO PROUD

I seriously owe a lot to this movie, it pulled me outta a horrible art slump and put me on the right track again, and honestly made me the happiest I’ve been in a long while. I related a lot to the characters in the movie (Hiro particularly), and I only wish I had this movie around when I was 14 and suffering through the exact same thing Hiro was. So here’s to this amazing movie, and I strongly urge everyone to go see it on DvD when it’s released in a day.

Again - Congratulations, Big Hero 6! You deserve it, and so, so much more!
