aww, thank you so much! you’re too sweet. i decided on season three because it’s my favorite season, to be honest. like, i think character development really peaked in season three, and all that juicy stuff.

how many apps until acceptance?

instead of waiting for a certain number of apps (that could take ages), i think i’m just going to accept any applications that i have on saturday or sunday. hopefully, that’ll be plenty of time to get people interested!

Or you could have kept the storylines in tact but Puck instead a NPC instead of essentially forcing a storyline that had nothing to do with another character on them? Why does another character in the roleplay have to be the father of Quinn's baby?

originally, i wasn’t going to answer this, but the more i look at it the more pressured i feel to answer it. as the admin of this roleplay, i made the decision to have hunter be the father of quinn’s baby for a multitude of reasons. first of all, i feel like in a normal roleplay setting that a hunter player might feel isolated from the group because he doesn’t (canonically) interact that much with the rest of the group, so i wanted to be able to tie him in with the rest of the New Directons. I mean, sebastian has his connections to blaine and Kurt, and even rachel, but hunter would probably just be there. making puck a npc is also a viable option, but i feel like the baby storyline is really complex and i thought that a potential quinn player would prefer to be able to have someone to play it out with. i also thought that changing it up would be kind of interesting, since hunter and quinn both probably come from prestigious backgrounds, and it opens up a door to a bunch of different plots. however, if a player approaches me saying they’d like that changed, we can talk about it. i don’t really understand why you’ve taken this so personally, but i’m sorry that it’s offended you.

On Quinn's template, it says she identifies as a homosexual? Do we have to keep that?

oh no, that part was a mistake — sorry! i was so excited about getting this roleplay up and running that you’ll probably notice i’ve made a few mistakes. she should be listed as heterosexual (i’ve fixed that now), but there’s also a spot in the application where you can put the characters sexual and romantic orientation, so it’s really whatever you want it to be! i just put whatever was listed on the glee wiki pages.

So if this progresses and you add the newbies, how would you relate Jake to Hunter or would that relationship just not exist at all?

oh no, i don’t see there being a pre-existing relationship there. hunter isn’t replacing puck as a character — he’s just the father of quinn’s baby in lieu of puck. does that make sense? like, hunter is still canon!hunter all the way, except for the baby thing. he and jake aren’t half siblings or anything.

is there any kind of limit on the length of the bios (i have a tendency to include way too much info in my bios and often feel like i'm rambling so a word limit could help). thanks <3

nope, there’s no limit on how much you can write.  i mean, being able to cover your character’s background and personality in depth for a biography is awesome! however, if you feel like you’re struggling with rambling too much, i would say cap it at around 1000 words? i hope that helps! and, if not, i’m sorry!

Hello, tags! If you’re like me, and you’ve been looking for a cute little canon game to play in, look no further!  I’m so unbelievably excited to announce the grand opening of OUR GLORY DAYS, a brand-spanking new Glee roleplay that encapsulates all the sweetness that is season three. There have been a few minor tweaks to the plot to make it more accesible, but you'll just have to figure out what htose are by checking out this blog.  I assure you that your favorite character is open, and in desperate need of your attention to bring them back to life. Rachel Barbra Berry was destined to be a star from the very moment her adoptive parents named her. They’d originally planned on naming her Barbra, but they wouldn’t dare take any fame away from the famous Barbra Streisand. They did everything possible to promote the growth of Rachel’s talent  — they played classical music throughout the house at all times, sang to her whenever it was appropriate, and always spoiled her. By time she was old enough to take instruction, she was put into dance classes. When she started coming into her own voice, they taught her singing lessons at home. To an outsider, it’s impossible to fathom how spoiled Rachel was. Her parents would go to the end of the earth to get whatever their daughter wanted. While they did make sure she stayed on a very strict, healthy diet and regimen, they also afforded her the best things in life. The freshest vegetables, the most beautiful wardrobe —  anything. They conditioned their daughter so that she’d never think of anything but her future and how famous she was going to be. Gold stars became synonymous with her name. Rachel’s fathers were never going to let their little girl strive for anything less but perfection, and that would become a major theme in her life.  Despite how well rounded and talented Rachel was, she fell short of of being sociable. Many of her peers thought she was a snobby brat, and that she was more trouble than she was worth. After all, how many fourth graders do you know that use words such as jovial or daft? Rachel was simply in a league of her own. She had a habit of talking down to her peers without realizing it, and after time it became a defense mechanism in response to the harsh critiques of those who didn’t understand her. She was bullied unmercifully in elementary and middle school. Whether it was her personality, her interest, or her appearance  — kids just didn’t care. There was nothing about Rachel that other people seemed to like. They knew her to be an extremely ambitious person, but sadly, her ambition translated into so called ‘bitchiness,’ as described by her peers. Her teachers often liked having such a studious pupil in their class, but Rachel also had a habit of being a know it all who liked to challenge her teachers, which lead to a few unwelcomed confrontations. She also had a habit of calling out her peers, which obviously wasn’t liked. Rachel, despite how lonely she felt some days, made no attempt to change her personality. She had a very stubborn attitude. 

High school was kind of a game changer. Her fathers described her as being a ‘late bloomer’ because she didn’t start experiencing physical changes for awhile. She was a relatively short girl, with the lean body of someone who had danced all her life. Rachel had a distinct style that most people would describe as being modest, with a little twist depending on how she felt. Boys didn’t like twice at her, and she told herself she didn’t mind. Relationships, she told herself, would deter her from her path to stardom. Luckily enough for the lonely little Star, she discovered the McKinley High Choir Club. It was everything but ideal  — but it was a choir club. Rachel had thrown herself into every club possible in McKinley in hopes of standing out among her peers when it came to applying to colleges, but this club was going to be hers, and she just knew it. There wasn’t any other club in the school that allowed for her to showcase her true talents, and it technically constituted as being a ‘team.’ Rachel had always dreamed of getting to compete in a real choir competition — she’d read show choir blogs all the time, but she’d never been been able to be in one. She knew it was a cutthroat competition world, but that was show business. It took a few tears and quarrels, but finally, after almost three years, the club went from being nothing to the New Directions.
