To my fellow d/Deaf and HoH yumeshippers:

- Your F/O would never say “Oh it doesn’t matter forget it” when you ask them to repeat something. They repeat it slower and clearer for you.

- Your F/O would learn your respective sign language for you, if you sign. They take classes from a certified instructor, and they frame their certificates with pride!

- Your F/O always makes sure you can see their face while they’re talking and prompts others to do the same.

- On that same vein, your F/O always has their camera on during calls. They make sure you’re able to join in, and you’re never excluded from calls just because you struggle to hear them.

- Your F/O carries your hearing aid charger / spare batteries, all the time, everywhere.

- Your F/O understands that volume isn’t the issue most the time, it’s clarity, and doesn’t just shout at you.

- Your F/O doesn’t tap you incessantly or poke you or tug on you for your attention.

- Your F/O totally understands the hearing fatigue. They really don’t mind if you need to go home, take out or off your aid devices, and rest for a while. They’re there with cuddles as long as you need.

Fellow hearing impaired yumes, you are SO LOVED!
