In 2016, the beloved and scenic Chuckanut Drive (State Highway 11) turns one hundred years young. These photographs depict the historic byway during some of the earliest days of its construction and use.

Old Main Quad and High Street, then and now. This movie shows the lawn in front of Western Washington University’s Old Main, along with part of High Street, around 1920 and then in 2016. The trees along the walkway appear to be the same in both pictures.
