There is a pain associated with change. We are in fact creatures of habit. I thought I wasn't since I bragged about not doing anything the same way including driving home from work. Unfortunately, I have discovered that the things that really matter deep inside are the ones I was too comfortable with to change. The things that were hindering my personal growth. The demons I allowed to speak to my mind and keep me captive in a place until I turned into someone I didn't even recognize anymore. How did I get here? Who is this person? Sadly, it was me. Comfortable in a place where I forgot who I was. Who I really was. Who God says I am. I am more than a conqueror yet I wasn't acting like one. Heck, I didn't even believe I was. Not really. Then God allowed situations in my life to allow the opportunity to look inside. Truly and unbiased. Boy, I did not like what I saw. Hence my journey to come out of the ashes and emerge the person I really am. The person God created me to be for good works. True good works, with no agenda, no self- preservation, no idols, no kidding.
