okay, so we talked about these guys for a hot second, but do you think that they knew eacb other before walcott??? or no?? i can see it going either way tbh??? but if cynthia knew him + knew he was coming, i can def see her following him here b/c she’s hella bored and you know that it’s not gonna be boring in walcott w/ rafael around. ~fire emoji~

either way, i just imagine them hanging out like ~surrounded by idiots~

so i’ve been thinking a little more about cynthia, and i legit think her initial plan in coming to walcott is just to wreck havoc/chaos b/c she’s bored and somewhere along the way, possibly realize that she still cares about gil and try to make that work, but idk how that will work (probably not well ha) buT both ways, she’s not a fan of abigail tbh and she’s all about making her life a living hell ;D

i do think that she would try the whole ~nice girl~ act at first to try to gain abigail’s trust, etc. etc. idk what you and tina have for abigail/gil, but if she knows about gil’s wife/how she is, idk if she’d buy it or not???

actual master of manipulation

literally only cares about herself and money tbh

her mother was originally from here but moved away after she met and married thia’s dad

her dad was an actual horrible person and that marriage didn’t last too long tbh

her mom tried to fight for custody of cynthia, but her dad had hired a really shady lawyer and in the end he got her 

he only fought so hard for cynthia b/c he knew that her mom wanted her and it was basically a power move

he had no idea what to do with a child tbh

never really gave a shit about thia tbh

thia grew up trying to win her father’s love

hell she’d settle for two seconds of his attention tbh

it took her until she was a teenager to realize that he didn’t care and he never would

since that time, thia’s only ever looked out for #1

always blamed her mom for dumping her with her dad

parents were supposed to be there for you/protect you/care about you and thia always felt like both her parents fell horribly short and she was an idiot for ever caring about either of them

she ran away from home when she was sixteen and since then, she’s been determined to make a better life for herself

she’s pretty sure that money is the answer to this 

thinks love is a weakness

anyway a few years ago she met gil chilton who had been trying to find thia for a long time b/c he had been close with her mom 

thia saw this as a golden opportunity and pretended to be the woman who gil thought she was all with the end goal of marrying him for his cash 

making gil fall in love with her was too easy

they even got married w/o a prenup so thia was pretty pleased w/ herself

somewhere through their engagement however, she started to develop real feelings

thia: help what is happening? i don’t like this ... 

for a hot second, she wondered if maybe she could be this different/better person with gil and they could be happy with each other

and then she came back to earth @ laughed at herself for being so stupid 

showed gil her true colors after they were married

“do you have any idea the psychological torture that i had to endure being nice to you?” cynthia @ gil on their honeymoon tbh so that was a fun time for everyone

cynthia’s been pretty content to stay in the city and let gil return to wallcott and just enjoy the checks she gets every month

now that she has all the money in the world, she basically sits back and socially destroys other women for funsies 

what can i say a girl’s gotta have her hobbies

tbh she’s been getting pretty bored tho lately and it’s getting too easy to wreck the lives of already miserable trophy wives

so she’s decided to come to wallcott 

let’s not talk about how she’s also realized that money has not brought her happiness -- it’s just bought off certain kinds of unhappiness 

i want to be happy, but i’m not sure i know how

she does know that 1/2 the town probably already hates her b/c of her reputation alone, but she also has the sweet/innocent act down pretty which she’ll probably try to use until she decides what she’s up to

but whether she’s come there to stir up trouble or try to turn the town against gil or just try to actually make things work, no one knows (tbh not even thia knows)

Because so little is known about the Chiltons, most didn’t realize Gil had ever married. But married he had. When Cynthia met Gil, she was looking a steady monetary flow. She was used to a certain lifestyle and it seemed Gil could easily offer it. So she turned up the charm and they married in a quiet ceremony in New York. But after living with her for just under a year, Gil fled back to the safety of his hometown and Cynthia was left with a monthly paycheck and the freedom to do whatever she liked. Which was exactly what she’s hoped for in the first place. It seemed she never cared to follow him to Walcott. Until now. It’s unclear just what Cynthia wanted when she arrived in Walcott two weeks ago. Whether she’s come for more money (most likely) or she’s come to stay, is unknown. But what Cynthia loves more than anything is a little drama and now that there’s talk of witches in Walcott (which she will say she believes) you couldn’t drag Cynthia away.
