"Do you not hear yourself and realize how many contradictions you’ve just made? Mom won’t care if I don’t get married, but I broke a piece of heart when I didn’t get married, had a baby, and stopped dancing. You want me to stand up to her but yet, you two had all of these big dreams for me that I clearly didn’t accomplish which means I’m just a massive disappointment. In case you haven’t realized it Owen, that is why I am the way I am. Because no matter what I do, no matter how hard I try, apparently it’s not good enough. Because I’ve spent a majority of my life trying to live up these big dreams you all had for my life. Apparently no one in this family can just be content with the fact that I have a beautiful amazing son and am in a happy relationship with a man I’m absolutely crazy about who is a great father and takes care of the both of us. I can’t change what I’ve done and I know I’ve done somethings that haven’t been what you all expected from me, but I try to make up for it in other ways. So that is why I do what I do and just put up with Mom and her crap. I’m not you Owen, you don’t have all these ridiculous expectations, hopes and dreams put on you since the day you were born. I just woke up with a long rambling message that ended with her landing time and date. Also, I’m not married to Stace. Which is probably part of the problem because the so-called golden child is living in sin with a rock star and is procreating with him.  See what I mean? You don’t pay attention. I’m 29 years old, I have a kid, and a house to maintain: I am so far past the rebellious stage that it’s not that funny.My mother and Stace are like oil and water. He gets pissed when she nitpicks at me, which causes him to blow up and he’s basically a reminder to her of everything she didn’t want me to end up with. So yeah, those two getting along is never going to happen.”

Lastly, I’m not you or Nicole, I don’t have the luxury of being an asshole. I wasn’t raised with that privilege, so my bad for not being born with the ability to say ‘fuck you’ to our mother.”
