The outcome of the weather? Yeah, he didn’t understand it all too well, or even really wanted to. To him? The rain, sun, snow and all the other aspects of Mother nature weren’t anything new, anything intriguing. Perhaps if he acknowledged how they were able to shift the change in emotion within humans, he would have been a bit more interested in the conversation- but thus? He hadn’t a care in the world. At least not right now, not when there were bigger and better things being offered out to him. Though upon the arrival of the information he wanted, the ravenette couldn’t help but release a light snicker of sheer enjoyment. This was going to be fun, really fun- and to make things better? The poor lad who spoke so highly of a simple trinket hadn’t the faintest idea what was coming for him!
“You carry a necklace around thinking it holds your hopes and dreams in it?” He sneered, his top lip curling back to revel the look of what could resemble a demon. “That’s sort of sad, really. You’ve put all your life into something that is replaceable, something that is..just not worth how much you believe it is, ne. You see, I can do a lot of things to this locket of yours. I can keep it for myself, hide it away in my bathroom so you’ll never see it again. I can hand it over, watch as you smile in glee at my kindness and hold it to your heart. Or..I can..drop it on the ground and..—” Releasing his grasp on the jewelry’s chain and allowing it to clang against the gravel, Izaya turned his head up (just to level his and his new friend’s gaze together) and rolled his shoulders forward into an uncaring shrug. “Smash it.”
Boom goes the shoe against the locket, bay-bay.
Considering the size of Nagi's eyes while he watched his locket get crushed under a stranger's foot, Owl was a fitting name.
How could he simply suggest that his hope could be replaced? Sure, the getting a new locket would be a simple task... but to replace one's own reason for living, his child--Nagi couldn't do that. If he were to ever lose his child, he would have nothing left. His last ray of hope couldn't just be tossed away and replaced!
More than the locket itself being destroyed, the only reason he lived being mocked so easily... That was what infuriated Nagi the most.
「I see... so it will be raining today.」As the words left his lips, his previously shocked expression faded into that of solemnness. Nagi may be an optimist, but be was not foolish. Talking to someone so unreasonable and rash would bare no fruit, and Nagi knew that. To people such as this, actions spoke louder than words.
「What a shame.」Reaching over, Nagi gripped the stump of his severed arm harshly, wincing only slightly at the ensuing pain. As recent as the amputation was, it didn't take much to agitate the wound enough before it began to bleed, staining the bandages in a dark red. To someone unrelated to the world of Deadmen, there was no doubt that what followed would be a bit... startling.
Nagi's blood defied gravity in wisps, accumulating into small orbs with each one. In merely a few moments the space between them was swarmed with at least twenty of Owl's "eyeballs". Almost as a final warning, an attempt to shake the other enough before the rain began to pour; one of the crimson orbs shot off towards the ravenette. Only a foot or so away from his torso, in less than a second it exploded violently enough to shove the other back and knock the wind out of him.
Whether or not he dodged didn't matter, if he was foolish enough see what Owl's Eyeball could do and still wanted to provoke him, then the skies will be crying soon.
