A kind stranger gave me a free ticket to Joan As Police Woman tonight. What a lovely break from writing my dissertation. What a lovely thing to do for a stranger. I walked to the venue and the city was shrouded in fog and everything looked like something out of a goddamned fairytale. Some days I'm real glad to be alive.
