Hypogeum of Ħal-Saflieni is the oldest prehistoric temple in the world. It dates back to over 5,000 years ago. This cave is located in Paola, Malta. This cave has very unique acoustic properties. The domed vaulting and elliptical chambers creates a very unique resonance with the vibration when emitted. It was believed that this was used for an oracle or to chant. The frequency that is given off is like a giant bell, vibrating the bones and tissue. Its unique frequency of 110 hz  would have been “switching on” an area of the brain that bio-behavioral scientists believe relates to mood, empathy and social behavior.  Its obvious that these specifications were on purpose, and its amazing how over 5,000 years ago, these specifications were met. Chanting in this cave impacted their way of thinking to stimulate their creative minds.
