🩵 PROJECT FAQ 🩵
For those of you who will are interested in applying to our project (applications open August 10), we are starting this thread of answers for the questions asked in our interest check!
Q: Can you elaborate on the theme of your project?
A: Our zine is about Yu and his relationship with Inaba! It seems to us that Yu has never felt as at home as he does in Inaba, so we want to portray his feelings through his positive social links with friends and family, as well as moments of peace with his environment and his hobbies like fishing, origami, etc!
Our zine will have an upbeat tone with very few references to the dark aspects of the game's main plot. Investigation team moments may still be included though, just in a lighthearted context!
Q: Why are you for-profit?
A: Our main goal is to fairly compensate our contributors for their time and efforts. We first aim to provide our creators with free full bundles (including shipping) at no cost. Then, if there is any profit after meeting that goal, it is evenly split among every member of the project. Many times, our creators do want an extra bit of money because life is expensive, and we're all putting a year's worth of work into the project. Some of our creators have to pay customs on their free packages as well, so having some money aside may help reimburse them in these situations that we cannot control. After splitting remaining profits amongst a large roster, our individual profits are not huge at all, so money is not the motivation for us being for-profit. We want to clarify that we are focused on fair comp for our contributors, who work hard, first and foremost for anyone who may be wary of the for-profit aspect of our project!
Q: Will this zine have spoilers for Persona 4/P4 Revival?
A: We cannot guarantee that our zine will be totally spoiler free, but given that our focus is on upbeat, heartwarming moments, it is unlikely that we'll delve deep into the main plot points of the game or major reveals!
Q: How will artists be selected for this zine?
A: Aside from a handful of guests, contributors will be selected based on their application samples (apps open August 10). At that time, we will post application forms to our socials that will have clear guidelines for submissions!
