I have officially changed my name

After a lot of consideration over the past few months I have decided to change the name and aesthetic of my tumblr. I am no longer the-great-snape-debate. I am now president-coriolanus-snow. It was not a decision I made lightly. In the end it came down to which character I wanted to switch to either Snow (Hunger Games) or Viktor (Arcane) - I decided on Snow because he's been an obsession of mine for much longer than Viktor.

Rest assured I am the exact same blog, I will be posting the same type of stuff, nothing about the content is changing, just my username and pic.

I am not going through all my old art as of right now and replacing my water marks - so unfortunately any of my old art will link to my old name - this is now my new main tumblr.

I do do personal photos, family photos, etc. 

I currently have 5/5 slots open for commissions! 

Please allow at minimum 2 weeks for works to be completed. All payments must be made up front through paypal. 

Cancellation and Refund Process

I do allow cancellations and refunds up to the date that I provide the work to you, no matter how far I am into it’s completion. If you do request a refund, please allow 4-10 business days for the banks to process. 

Once you have the work all funds are non-refundable. 

If you do wish to cancel at any time prior to receival, please message me through Tumblr. Rest assured I will not be upset.

I never reblog this on my own page but our car is going (it’s a 2004 Saturn. Been making due with it the last while but it’s on its last legs). We can’t afford a new one so at this point anything helps. So if anyone wants to help out I have my paypal in my description and commission slots open.

I have been in such a Batgirl mood lately I had to do another one of Ethan Cobblepot.  I wanted to go with a bit more of an artistic feel to it rather than a realistic feel - while still keeping that realism there so I started doing some inky brushy strokes over his suit and I like how it turned out. Had some fun with some brushes with it.

Drawing with a cat be like

like you're cheating with your art. why is it you can do perfect photo like digital paintings but your line art in your comic and your surgeon pick look like a 5 year old did it.

I can’t tell if this is a question or an insult, but I’ll treat it as a question. And it’s a simple answer really. 

It’s 1 hour vs. 50+ hours. My digital paintings take me anywhere from 17 hours to 250 hours depending on the details and if there’s colour or not, black and whites I can do faster than colour (keeping in mind these hours are approximations) but they take a long time to do. 

If I did that with every panel of my comic I did, I never would have done it. And I really don’t feel I need to justify my Surgeon Snape pic as I’m sure you’re referring to, but I felt like doodling and playing with line art and a colour palette.

I started this around the time I got procreate and I was never satisfied with it. I had a heck of a time with the highlights and especially his hair. But I’ve finally finished it today.

I’ve been on a Penguin kick lately. And can I say I’ve never hated his hair more than doing this picture.

This is why art theft is such a big deal. I’ve had this idea for a comic for a while now, and while it didn’t turn out the way I had invisioned it all these years, It still turned out better than expected. 

My original idea was for the crowed to get so large that the artist gets trampled underneath and has to claw their way over the floor to get out, while their art was being damaged in the rush to see the stolen piece. Ultimately it proved beyond my line art capabilities, but I still like how it turned out. 

I know so many people who quit posting their work online because of art theft, and there was a time where I was close. It’s a very big deal, as you can see by the hours indicated under the pictures of how long it took to do. You’re not only stealing their work, you’re stealing their credits, and you’re stealing their time.
