If there’s a Willow, there’s a way- it’s Willow!! and with my first blog of the new year!! Late as usual with my blogs, but I’m probably gonna make this a long one to catch up ;D
As for how I’ve been since my last blog… I got my hair died pink!! It didn’t end up lasting a long time, but I love itttt. I’ve been working on trying to make it last longer or finding other shades to try. I’ve been on such a hair care binge, and part of it is because I found a promotion where if I spent a certain amount, I got $100+ worth free!
I haven’t used much yet, but my hair’s been in great condition ever since. I can’t wait to try out more, especially the Disney Princess hair glitter-
But like I promised last blog, I’m overdue to talk about my trip to Japan last year and Tokyo Idol Festival!!

Calla: I….don’t really have any preferences with gemstones or anything so I usually go with turquoise since he’s my birth stone.
Mia: I really like emerald, which is my birth stone, but rose quartz is super pretty too!
Willow: I used to collect semi-precious stones when I was younger and Rose Quartz has always been my favourite!

Bonnie Official Blog 170124
Bonjour, bonsoir, Bonnie!
Happy 2017! How has everyone been doing so far this year?
Although it’s been a few weeks since the holidays, I wanted to share with you all what I spent my holidays doing. And that was~
Vacationing in California!
I was so, soooooooo!
Happy to be back again!
The day before I took my flight out of New York (I flew this time, rather than driving the entire way, haha!), there was a huge snowstorm. There’s actually been so much more snow in New York this year than last year, so it’s been tough transitioning back… (๑ ˊ͈ ᐞ ˋ͈ )ƅ̋
But anyway, my trip was so much fun!
I got to hang out with friends I haven’t seen in more than a year, got to eat delicious food that I’ve been missing, and, of course, enjoy much sunnier weather! (Really, it was around 86 degrees Fahrenheit the day before I left! … and then I came home to 12 degree weather…)
One of the big things that I did while I was out there was a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood. I actually visited that park while I was living in the area, but since they opened the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter park in the last year, I needed to go see it!! I am a giant Harry Potter fan, so going there really felt like all of my childhood dreams were coming true!
I had to stock up on Slytherin merchandise while I was there, of course, and invested in a scarf, a Head Girl pin, and even a small tapestry for home!
One of my favorite parts of that park was visiting Ollivander’s to get my wand! I’d taken the “official” wand test on Pottermore beforehand, and one of my friends mentioned that I should look to see if they had something that matched it for sale in the store. (By the way, the test said my wand is pine wood, dragon heartstring core, and at a length of 9 and ¾ inches… which is apparently pretty small?! But it makes sense!) I was looking around at the more “custom” wood wands, and couldn’t quite find pine, but one of the shop staff asked what I was looking for and recommended me something that would be similar… which turned out to be the wand I took home – a pretty ivy wood one! I ended up opting for the interactive version, since it let me “cast spells” around the park at designated spots on the map – where parts of the set would interact with the movement of your wand. It was pretty cool!
Of course, after I went shopping and hopped on a ride, I had to sample the park’s Butterbeer, which was RIDICULOUSLY delicious!
My friends and I went on a few other rides across the park, but, to be honest, the park was SO crowded since I went the day after Christmas, so a lot of people were off from work and school – and packing the park. Most of the lines were at leaaaaast a 1-1.5 hour wait!
But, I still had a good time and was glad I went.
Aside from the park visit, I mainly spent a lot of time hanging out with friends, getting really excellent food (including ramen and my beloved mochi donuts they sell out in Torrance!), shopping, and enjoying the sunny weather~ I actually happened to be sick during the entire trip, but I inundated myself with cold medicine to get out and enjoy as much as I could.
Although, at one point, one of my friends decided that she wanted to take me up on a “hike in the mountains.” I told her I was sick, and she agreed to limit it to a more leisurely walk on a lower-altitude walking path, which I was fine with, but… then, on the actual day of, she saw that there was snow up in the mountains and REALLY wanted to see it up close. She drove us all the way up to the snow (about a 30-40 minute drive!) – then as we got out of the car, quickly threw her extra jacket at me because it was “so cold” (probably 42-45 degrees?) and all I had was a cardigan, and then we went onto the trail – where frozen-over ice was still melting, leaving a bit of a slippery mess of a path – and then promptly decided that she’d had enough of the ice after approximately two minutes or so.
… we headed back down into the city to hang out at a café instead. It was a fantastically hilarious attempt at a nature-y get-together. Southern California definitely has a fair bit of snow that even people living around there can access, but the snow and the cold is such a foreign-feeling for a lot of the people out there. The entire trip sort of reminded me how immune to snow and cold you become after living in the northeast, hah!
Honestly, I was pretty sad when I had to go back to New York, but I’m still always talking with my friends out there… and, thankfully, the weather has gradually warmed up over the last week here. Winter can leave early, that’s fine with me!
I’ve also been listening to a lot of SWIP lately again, and the mere fact that they’re an idol group from Okinawa makes me think of summery weather, and it helps! Huhu~ you guys should check them out if you haven’t heard of them!
What about you guys – do you prefer winter or warmer seasons?
Since I’ve been back, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes at Purappi on a number of upcoming things! I’m excited to release some of these things over the coming weeks (and months, since we’re working on content fairly far ahead of time!) so you all can enjoy them.
Also, did you see that we’re recruiting new staff members? If you have any sort of technical skill(s) that you’d be interested in growing within our group, I definitely encourage you to read more and apply! Be sure to let us know if you have any questions, too!
Well, then, before I head out, I’ll close my blog with another Bonnie’s Beauty Tip! I had to decide between something hair-related and skincare-related for this one, but opted for another hair one since winter can be pretty harsh on hair. (Let me know if you guys would be interested in a winter skincare favorites tip or something like that!)
My hair is honestly reaching reaaaally long lengths again, which I’m really happy about, but I’ve been working hard to keep it healthy as it continues to grow. Last time around, I mentioned my success with using hair oil, and something else I’ve added into my routine lately has been using a hair mask! The one I personally use is a “primer” from Redken but there are several masks out there that you can use, based on your hair’s current condition/length. This one is suited for really long hair (and encouraging more growth!), so it was a good fit for me, but essentially what hair masks do is help coat your hair with moisture and other benefits – like repairing damage or strengthening and softening hair follicles. There are plenty out there, so I’d definitely encourage researching something that will tackle any problems you might be experiencing with your hair in the winter!
That’s all for now, everyone! Until next time~
I would love to hear you girls tackle an acapella song! Something Pentatonix-like. You have such lovely blends it would work out beautifully!
Thank you for the suggestion! We do have some blends that could work out nicely for something like that~
Calla Official Blog 170114
Happy New Year! …two weeks into the new year, oops–
E-either way, Platinum Happy’s clumsy lily, Calla here! How have your winter holidays been?
This year was the first time I’ve celebrated Christmas completely alone. ;;v;; I haven’t really been too invested in Christmas for several years but. It was so very lonely…
So I went to a Moso Calibration concert!
(I’m kidding, I bought the ticket ahead of time it’s not like I decided to go just because I was lonely or anything–!!)
But for New Years, the friend of mine that I stayed with when I first came here invited me to spend the holiday with her family!!
We ate New Years’ soba and watched Kouhaku and paid a visit to a shrine… in the morning. Both of us fell asleep at midnight.
It was really simple, but I was very glad to spend the holiday with someone. ;;v;;
…and then I went to @Jam’s New Year party and got to see lots of idols and I’m sure I’ll do a comprehensive report in a little thing Eve and I do every so often~
But, seeing all of those idol groups really solidified my New Years’ resolutions!
I want to become the best idol I can be to support the rest of the group.
I know I’m certainly not the best vocalist or dancer in the group, I probably never will, but I’m definitely not going to stop trying to improve!
The best thing I can do right now is MC so I’ve gotta make sure I not only keep my skills up but also try to help out other members with their MCs!
I want Platinum Happy to shine as brightly as as all of the groups I saw.
So please watch us until then.
I’ll do my best.

Birthday Letter for Willow
Dear Ui-tan,
Happy Birthday to you~~!
I hope that your day is full of things that make you happy and excited!
Speaking of Willow, honestly, you’re someone who is normally happy and excited, huh? Around all of our group chats, you’re always so positive and fun, and you always bring this sense of enthusiasm into whatever happens to be the topic of the moment!
I think people have been able to see this side of you quite a bit — through our live streams, especially, because you’ve always been able to shine so well in MC-type activities. I feel like whenever you’re talking about something, we all suddenly get into it, right?! No matter what, I think you could grab someone’s interest in just about anything with your charisma. It’s like a secret Ui-tan power!
Naturally, you’re well-known in Purappi for your absolutely INSANELY good mixing skills! It’s a not-so-secret Ui-tan power, I think, but it’s still hugely impressive, nonetheless. Because I’m involved in a lot of the behind-the-scenes logistics when it comes time to start handing everyone’s vocal parts and whatnot off to where they need to be, I have the opportunity to typically hear our releases from their early, unmixed stages through to the final product, and I’m always amazed by the spin you put on the songs that you mix — no matter the number of singers! You’ve said before that your specialty is large-group mixing, and I have to admit that I’m jealous of your crazy-good skills in viable small armies of lines. It’s… basically witchcraft.
There’s one more point I want to bring up about Ui-tan, and that’s her generosity! I think people outside of Purappi might not know this so well, but she’s essentially a yearlong Santa Claus! Being an avid idol fan, Ui-tan’s routinely sharing her goods with the other members out of the kindness of her heart (even if… they get shipped to the wrong place once in a while… (≧y≦*)).
So, to our resident adorably-happy-and-super-sweet-vocally-talented-mixing-goddess-maid-cutie-extraordinaire,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Love,
Bonnie!
Eve Official Blog 161224
Please look at the real me, who is close to graduate! It’s Xmas Eve!!!
First, I am so sorry for such a long time without making a blog post orz Last one was on my birthday! (‘o’) 5 months ago ! ! ! But I have been so busy ;; Actually, last month I did my last work for college! I still have things to do, but it’s mostly writing so it’s fine… The exhibition was really stressful though. Because it’s hard to explain, here’s my work:
Basically I did 999 tsuru on wood and printed each one once on the wall. Last 9 I did during a performance on the opening day. You actually fold 1000 tsuru in order to get a wish, but I did 999 because you put all your energy on the 999 tsuru that you don’t really need the last one. Or something like that. Explaining in english is so hard! ;;
I was so nervous during the opening! People said they liked it so it makes me feel better. I looked so different during the opening day! Hair done, make up and nice dress… It felt really awkward. Even now I have this weird feeling of slightly regret ww But it’s over. Which means I will finally graduate from college!!! \o/ Hehe, I’m sorry if it sounded like the other graduation….
My college has been with some problems so I will only finish it next year… I was so happy to end it in 2016 but I guess I’ll have to wait at least 3 more months… At least I’m not under a huge amount of stress anymore~ ^^
During all that I still got time to go to an anime convention, Shinobi Spirit, with one of my friends. And I could cosplay!!! *^* It has been soooo long since I last used a cosplay that I was really nervous but I was Kido so all I had to do was pretend I was invisible ww Someone even asked to take a picture with me! I was so happy!!! I really want to cosplay more but lack of cons and people to go with are the main reason I don’t ^^”….
Have you heard our anniversary release?! I loved it so much!!! I’m really happy and proud to be a part of Purappi! I was nervous about dancing Platinum Disco because I’m not good at dancing, but I really want to learn how to dance so I must practice! The hardest part was to keep smiling though ^^” So much respect and admiration for all the idols who can do it. Smiling is really hard for me I guess… Specially when I had to focus on dancing too! But the result was so good!!! We also did live streams this year too, did you watch it? It was sooooo much fuuuuun!!! I’m the type that barely talks, it was like I was another person! The truth and dare was so fun and I laughed a lot. I hope you liked it too! I’m looking forward this next year in Purappi! Please keep being part of Platination!ww
Lastly, Merry Christmas… EVE ! ! !
Happy second anniversary Platinum Happy!
(also I just realised I forgot to say anything about the new release, but it seriously blew my mind! Just the singing and the quality and everything, especially Saite Jewel that song is my jam ^^ )
On my first pushup of the #purappi5challenge I fell on my face so I’ve decided to give it a miss. But regardless the livestream was super fun! Thanks to all the members for making my laugh, cant wait for the release! ^^
