Okay, so clearly she hadn’t seen him walking on two legs before he’d make a mad dive for cover. While it was… sort of annoying that she was treating him like some common household animal, maybe he should just roll with it. I mean, it was much more common for humans to give food to cute stray animals than to thieves, right?
Ha. Who cared about the others. They could probably find food on their own. Okay, so they totally couldn’t, but hey. One out of three team members fed was better than none! And it’d be kind of hard to carry food out of here if he was going to go along with this cute, innocent little cat thing.
So he did his best to let out a happy sort of meow as he walked closer to her, actually remembering to walk on all fours instead of with just two of his legs by some miracle. Jeez, it’d been ages since he’d made any sounds that weren’t somehow related to human speech. He just hoped it had been convincing enough!
He also hoped that she’d give him actual food and not, you know, that gross mushy canned tuna stuff or any of those stupid little crunchy cereal-looking things. Honestly, how any animal or Pokemon could actually like those was beyond him.
That cat's meow sounded strange, didn't it? Or maybe it didn't. After all, it had been a really long time since Mary had seen a cat. It wasn't like they wandered around here as often as birds or squirrels. It was probably just that she hadn't heard a cat meow in so long that it sounded kind of odd.
Regardless, she gave the little guy a few reassuring scratches behind the ear before pushing the bowl of food towards him. It's worth noting, the food was definitely not canned tuna or cat food. How would she even get that stuff, anyway? For the past century, she'd lived entirely off of food she grew in her own little garden, and that was exactly what she was sharing with this cat now.

Actually, now that she thought about it, weren't cats meat-eaters? Oops. It's the hard life for a medusae living alone in the woods without ever leaving her house. Hopefully, the little cat would like the food anyway, or he'd be more than a bit disappointed to find out she didn't have anything else to offer.
