Today I felt like the sun followed me wherever I went. So as I stopped by a stall to get some ice cream, I noticed this little Afghani girl stare at me with her big and beautiful eyes saying something like 'I wish I could eat that.' And then it made me think of my parents who would get me ice cream whenever I felt like. Which would mean going to the dentist frequently but on a serious note I think we are super blessed to have people in our lives who have accommodated all our small and big needs. I hope we can reach out and do something similar for others, especially those on the lower side of the equation.

‏‎First I thought that he didn't go to school but when I asked him some questions he said that he lives in some village in rural Punjab and that he comes to work at his uncle's toy store in Lahore whenever he gets holidays from school. His uncle later told me that this kid's parents work really hard to send all their kids to school and he helps them since this nephew of his is really bright. I feel so satisfied whenever I go over and talk to people. It really helps me set aside my prejudices. ‏‎Some of the school children from Master Ayub's park in Sector F6 Islamabad. Zeeshaan, Akash and Youhana. Youhana (extreme right) wants to be a cricket player whereas both the other boys want to be software engineers. Master Ayub started a free school for kids in a park 30 years ago. It takes so much courage to do that for so long. I hope we can all contribute to a better Educated Pakistan one day inshaAllah. Maybe we can start by helping him out. So if you guys are planning to give your Zakah this year, please consider giving some to his school.
