Hey I'm Marlow (main @palustrine )! I really like zines! My physical collection is lacking but my digital one is rich and rather eclectic!!

Edit: I've started up @ratsatemysocks as a side project and will post my zines amongst other bits there going forward. This will stay as a resource/promo account where I ramble about things still!

Anyway welcome to my b(l)og o/ I mostly reblog resources for zines alongside ones that others have made and my own. If you'd like me to reblog yours, just ask! I'd be more than happy to share your work around. I hope you enjoy the wonders of the collective unconscious in my little corner of the world. Tags I use will be below ^_^

Hey fiber besties, if anyone wants to help out with The Darn & Frog zine then feel free to dm me, send an ask or submission!!

Issue 1 will be abt making and using ■ squares ■ in projects! Maybe some rectangles too lol. Wanna start with a geometric shapes series bc shaping is fun :]

Rough submission guidelines will be...

A 4, 6 or 8 (10, 15, 20cm) inch square design. You may make a rect version too if you wanna

Simple project using squares

Ideas for a froggy mascot

Ramblings about squares and their uses etc or even something creative

Up to 1 spread space wise (2 pages) + provide some basic visual for your design (sketch, photos, charts etc.). You can write a little tag line abt yourself w/ social media. Any rambles should fit comfortable on A5 and min 200 words.

Hoping to supplement the content I already have with guest work (credited). I can't offer much in return other than a big ty and free zines from the project!! Love you all have a swell day :>

What's a zine??

A zine - derived from "magazine" - is a homemade publication usually distributed in small batches.

There are no set-in-stone rules for how to create them. They can be about anything you want and tend to be quite varied from one another. Overall, zines provide a voice for people to explore their ideas and musings by opening up a platform. You will find that out quite quickly if you browse for some!

Would anyone be interested in an FF14 zine about like the tribes of Eorzea / Etheirys? Been doing the endwalker tribe quests and enjoying them thoroughly but it would be awesome to dedicate a bit of art to them all :D

I'd host it as open submission until I have some nice pieces in all tribes ^__^ Would love to host a sightseeing log zine one day too :O

A Basic Guide to Tarot the Zine

I have been learning tarot for a year and I have compiled all of my notes into a simple guide. This zine includes some starting information and notes on the suits, number associations, and court cards. This is a good basis for helping you interpret cards and learn their meanings!

I will not claim to be an expert in tarot but I hope the information in this zine will be beneficial to beginners. Each page is hand written and hand illustrated. This zine is also unapologetically trans and has an inclusive view of gender.
