Sebastian’s touch always felt so good. It didn’t matter why or when; he could be in the worst, most sour mood, or on top of the world. One touch of those hands and everything felt brighter, sunnier, easier. Maybe that was why he loved him so much–Sebastian was his true sunshine. He grinned down at him fondly, automatically bringing his hand to the back of his neck, scratching gently with calloused fingertips.
“I reckoned yeh might’ve wanted the caffeine before I started rambling about my next job or tryin’a drag yeh with me, but if yer gonna come anyway…” He stopped to laugh, leaning over him a little to kiss his hair, cradling his head for a moment to murmur against his ear.
“Fluffy’s outside; been quiet, so I guess nothin’ bothered him last night.” He kissed the shell of his boyfriend’s ear. “They didn’t tell me what’s in the box, but they dropped it off with me, so I got it. Some address near the water out past the Happy Pig. What’re yeh wanting to test out, luv?”
Sebastian cocked his head to the side and shifted a little, giving Sid more room to play with the back of his neck. Rarely would he do anything to discourage Sid’s touch- that mostly happened on nights when it was just too damn warm to cuddle, truth be told- and right now was no exception. He looked up at the sniper and grinned, taking a moment to admire the way the sunlight that spilled through the window cast a neat halo around his upper body.
“I like hearing you ramble.” The smaller man tilted his head to better listen as Sid spoke into his ear, getting a giggle from him as Sid’s stubble rasped against the sensitive skin. He squirmed away just a tad, trying to hide the sensitive spot from Sid’s near-omnipresent day’s worth of beard.
“Mm, mysterious.” Sebastian took a moment to collect his thoughts, lazily wrapping an arm around Sid’s hip as he stretched. What was he going to test out?
“You’ll see.” His grin showed teeth, giving away only the fact that he was looking forward to his test. “Which reminds me! We do still need to test that theory in the Quick Change station. If we’ll change heights if we try to take each others’ appearances. That’ll be fun. I can go around calling people drongos.” He snickered at the thought.
“Anyway, do you have any clues about your mystery package? What the people who dropped it off looked like, their transportation, anything? Bounty or not, I hate surprise bombs.”
