ramble with more details below and please keep in mind i dont actually take this seriously im just dramatic

why is artemy's hair combed back like that. there is not a single cowlick in this world that can do that to a guy that just got off a train, he looks like a tiktoker. also what is with making him more and more chiseled with each game? sorry this is probably my bias showing but he is getting UGLIER!!!!!! because his face is getting RIDICULOUS!!!! guy is attractive TOO CONVENTIALLY!!! so attractive by usual beauty standards that he becomes uncanny. do you know what i mean? i think to be attractive a man needs to be at least a little bit weird looking. to be fair i am a butch lesbian so im not the authority on men but it feels like i'm going insane. does anyone know what i mean.

daniil what happened. why is he all... droopy. he got too soft, he looks NICE now!!! he looks timid! he should look like he would tell you that he, on the other hand, is used to winning. (well i mean that line isn't as bad as it sounds out of context but you know what i mean). he doesn't look like he could bring you a lot of trouble through administrative means with those lashes and puppy eyes. "oh thats the point he's lame as hell actually" for the game to happen he needs to be respected as an intimidating authority! his shape language screams at me that that's an uwu cinnamon roll that needs 2 b pwotected at all cwosts!!! and i HATE that kind of characterization for him. sorry to all the enthusiasts but it drives me up a wall

and i have asked myself, did they make daniil so soft and artemy so sharp to fuel the contrast between them? soft cityboy bachelor and rugged and sharp artemy? but that's still dissapointing since they used to fit nicely into the primary shapes before (triangle for bachelor, square for haruspex, circle for clara) and now they aren't as clear in their shape language which takes a lot of fun out of it, at least to me. they are making them an actual dichotomy instead of a false one and it indirectly puts a damper on one of the the cooles things in pathologic.

to summarize, i think that the designs are going in a weird direction and could be pushed in a more interesting one that would emphacize the points the game is trying to make. right now they feel kind of random, and random doesn't exactly feel right for pathologic.
