(1/2) Want your opinion...I watched videos of Brendon talking about his half siblings (mom’s side.) But found that he has 4 half siblings on his dads side that he never mentions. He also talked about how he met his brothers for the first time when he was 8 and was raised mainly by his mom and sisters because his dad worked. Also not to mention the girls took Boyd’s last name and the boys kept their dads name. And said his brothers got away with more cause his mom felt guilty they weren’t around.
(2/2) Did some research and found out his half sister was only 10 months old when his mom & dad got married. Don’t know how the Mormon church views divorce and remarriage. (Is it like catholicism?) I think there’s more to his childhood that he doesn’t talk about. Maybe because his family is Mormon??
his dad lists “Brendon,Kara,Kyla,Joshua,Marett,Scott,McKayle “ as his kids on twitter (his handle is bdendad. heads up: he loves trump, is right wing on everything but gay rights/lgbt). afaik matt and mason are the two brothers b met at 8 (maybe 7), so i’m assuming those are his mom’s sons from another relationship before boyd. kara and kyla he grew up with, and later had matt and mason join them. (otoh, matt and marett are similar names, so maybe marett went by matt when he was younger?)
mormons are patriarchal generally, so going by the mom’s birth name would be a major no no. they are also against birth control other than withdrawal, charting the woman’s cycle, and not having piv. even those are iffy, eg piv is mandated in marriage by all patriarchal religion and the state (eg to be “consummated,” divorce and annulment can occur based on lack of piv, piv, reproduction and trying to ensure paternity, the consolidation of male wealth, as well as controlling female sexuality and reproduction in particular overall are the points of marriage). so it can only be not having it sometimes, and stricter christians eg mormons, catholics tend to even oppose other sex (”foreplay”) without piv or even at all eg oral sex). mormonism is also heavy on the “be fruitful and multiply”--women are supposed to birth multiple children within marriage so the church has more followers. marriage and having children are seen as two of the main things needed to join god in his celestial kingdom. which explains the nine? kids between grace and boyd. vasectomy and tubal ligation remain pretty much not allowed, even when more varied birth control is allowed for in recent years.
divorce is allowed but frowned on: they allow for civil divorce and think it a necessary evil, but think church marriage is eternal, and only the president of the church can end that seal. some get divorced civilly but don’t end it in the church, which mormonism regards as adultery. they tend to think women can only be validly married in the church sense once, but men are allowed to marry multiple women and teen girls (which some sects still carry out eg bountiful bc, warren jeffs).
edit to add: the mormon church still bans oral sex even within marriage, fyi, although some mormons speak in favour of it in marriage. boy, does our boy break that rule a lot, both pre and post marriage :P also forbidden: masturbation. deep kisses like french kissing, make outs: only in marriage. outside of marriage things are only allowed to be g rated so to speak. manual, massage, petting nongenital erogenous zones... only in marriage. no same sex sex or sexuality allowed ever.
there are unofficial but varying rules on outercourse (genital-genital contact), dry humping (clothed outercourse, tribadism, frottage), tribadism/frottage but i’ve not found anything official (beyond church members and priests)
uh, it’s giving me fic ideas heehee. eg how women and girls are more likely to want outercourse, humping each other’s thighs, manual, even oral, etc than piv and getting to use religion as an excuse for why they can’t engage in piv. there’s even some who engage in piv, but without movement, or only pressing/wriggling, eg no thrusting, not to male orgasm... i don’t think this is rationalizing “technical virginity” in the latter case (i don’t think they seriously think they are still virgins, even if they define virginity loss in terms of piv)... i think it’s letting women and girls engage in sex including piv in ways that are more pleasurable to them and lower risk.
