This question is pretty basic, but someone needs an answer to this kind of question, so let's answer it.

Step 1: Check the paper feed system

What's the first thing to do when running a printer? Check your machine! Make sure your DTF film is advancing smoothly and without interruptions. Why? Inconsistent paper feed speed is the main reason for image tilt during printing.

Step 2: Calibrate the positioning system

Machines need maintenance! Long-term and intensive use of DTF digital printers may cause hardware wear, failure, or positioning system deviation.

This is when action is needed! Recalibrate the printer's positioning system to restore accuracy.

Step 3: Troubleshoot driver issues

Printer software settings or hardware failures may cause distortion in printed images. Software-related problems may stem from incorrect printing parameter settings or incompatible print drivers.

Step 4: Standardize print file formats

The author encountered this kind of problem when I used white ink for DTF printing and exported the file in PNG format. I found that the image format was not suitable for printing, resulting in unexpected splitting and overlapping.

Later, I changed the image format to PDF to print successfully, so! Pay attention to your image format.

The fabric is too absorbent: If the fabric is highly absorbent, the ink will be quickly absorbed and diffused as soon as it contacts the fabric, resulting in blurred edges of the pattern.

Printing speed: Printing too fast may cause the ink to not dry in time, while printing too slow may cause the ink to accumulate on the fabric, which may cause ink haloing.

Matching of ink and substrate: Dispersed ink is prone to ink haloing on natural fibers.

How should I deal with the dispersed ink blur phenomenon?

Adjust the corresponding ink formula and change the type of ink

Select the ink type and formula suitable for specific fabrics.

Adjust the viscosity and fluidity of the ink to adapt to the characteristics of the fabric.

Optimize printing parameters such as inkjet pressure, printing speed, and drying temperature.
