UPDATE - PINNED POST A post going over where I've been, where I am and what's to come(?)

I guess I kind of slowly disappeared not long after moving to the US in 2021 but the reason is that I moved here for a Government job in DC (which was so busy & so demanding) and although I've lived overseas before, the settling in period was *hard*. But I have left that job and now live in the PNW with R (my partner) and our 2 cats (One is Elly, my cat from Australia and the other is Aspen, our adopted newly 1 year old cat). I will admit my artistic inspiration and motivation dried up real bad from the move and struggling with various things both personal and professional but R knows I am determined to get back into it and is very supportive - even buying me an ipad so I can doodle while watching him play games or something! I am aware I have outstanding commissions, which I am ashamed of because I know I ghosted these wonderful people but I am not planning to dump them - I look at them often and will reach out however I can (keeping in mind that accidentally deleting my blog nuked my messages and chats). So I want to pick up drawing again because it did bring me a lot of joy but it's gonna be a very shaky and rusty process.. But that's it for now! I am working on coming back!

A reminder that my X is dad_abel where I may be a little more active than here too.

I haven't disappeared again!

I promise I'm still here, just working on a batch of commissions in the background! I didn't realize until this morning how little of my old art I had reposted after remaking my blog so I may repost bits here and there but some art may never get posted again because it's so old lol I want to do a couple of doodles for February so will post some new stuff soon! And a reminder if you are finding my blog again and you had a commission with me ; please reach out, I have tried finding people and am failing miserably.

Update - External Hard Drive FOUND!

It was one of those things where I tucked it in a special place where it wouldn't get damaged and forgot I put it there but it has been FOUND! And besides old commissions I need to send updates on, there is SO many old drafts I don't think ever saw the light of day in any way - I may post little collages of the ones I may slowly work on over time to shake the rust off but WOW.. there's even art from way back when I was approx 15 years old.

I will definitely be reaching out to them but they are also welcome to reach out to me! We are still settling into our apartment and I cannot find my external hard drive that had commissions on it and I had to buy a new tablet pen (which has arrived) as I lost my old one in the move so I am still getting all my ducks in a row before I reach out so I know what the 'damage' is, per se. EDIT: I am still looking for my hard drive - I haven't given up, that's just the hold up rn. Who knew I had so much crap I keep in my desk/office space..
