Just got yelled at and berated on Overwatch in Quick Play because I wasn't a good enough healer.
This is why I left the game for years.

Bruh look at my lucio I ain't ever getting healed...
I love lucio but I sadly will never be able to be good on him 💔
Jetpack Cat is probably my favorite of the more recent Overwatch newcomers because it feels the most in line with the "anything can happen" sandbox philosophy of character design of classic Overwatch as where everyone else is competently designed but so, so painfully generic. Wuyang especially.
Throwing my two cents in
I'm tired of people using watsonian arguments to address doyalist criticism. I'm tired of people using watsonian arguments to address doyalist criticism. I'm tired of people using WATSONIAN ARGUMENTS to address DOYALIST CRITICISM! I'M TIRED OF PEOPLE USING WATSONIAN ARGUMENTS TO ADDRESS DOYALIST CRITICISM!!!!!
Spiderbyte fanart animation i made a while ago but will be posting it here for you guys to see aswell, hope you guys like it!
wish they played around with Shions design a bit more...
I'm a regular Blizzard hater, and I'm a regular Juno hater, but. . . goddamn, the writing of the female Overwatch characters released since 2022 has been pretty spectacular on average. Junker Queen is allowed to be absolutely unhinged on main. Illari has a tragic, unique backstory of the kind usually reserved exclusively for the male characters. Vendetta is central to the plot (a woman, who's direct actions are central to the plot! this is not a drill!) and Domina has such a distinctive personality and motive compared to the rest of the cast before her. Sierra has a strong plot hook and fantastic, unique dynamic with everyone she interacts with. Freja is allowed to be ruthless and apathetic and not very emotionally intelligent (as a woman! this is not a drill!), and even now that she's eclipsed by Emre, she was given a LOT of independent love from Blizzard when she was released. Hell, even Kiriko and Anran, two girly girls designed for skin bait in the tradition of Mercy+Widowmaker, are allowed to have a more expressive personality than either of those predecessors. I actually like Anran's dynamic as the protective tryhard older sibling, which is something I never thought I'd say.
Like, yes, ofc everyone is sexy as hell. This is Overwatch, a hero shooter that lives and dies by sex appeal. Neither of the new male tank characters released since 2022 wear a shirt. Have you seen Emre's ass and abs? etc etc etc etc. But character-wise, and particularly character-agency-wise, I've been super impressed with the new female heroes they've been releasing. Shion looks to be yet another right step in that direction- I think you could really dive into how femininity can be used as a tool and a mask with her. Widowmaker is sexy, because. . . idk black widows or something. But Shion's sexual nature is very much an active choice and that's unique enough to stand on its own, I think.
TL;DR: I like Women. Overwatch women are cool.
