Molly is sitting at the table with a big fanged smile. Slowly sliding the cake (store bought, thankfully, in it's tin container) toward her father as soon as he sat down. Written is a Happy Father's Day message, decorated in professional frosting roses and pipping. And a cheesy, joke Happy Father's Day card signed by Molly rested on top of it.

Well. This was a welcome chance of pace. Even if cake wasn’t really his thing, he appreciate the gesture all the same. It was nice to have at least one kid who didn’t totally hate him.
