hi, im Z! i haven't done this before, but i'm going to try making some paralives mods! i'm going to start out with some simpler things (i'm thinking of some makeup options and piercings first), but hopefully i'll be able to figure out some complicated things like hair and clothes!

let me start this by saying that i've never paid for a mod/cc and don't ever intend to.

it is absolutely absurd to act like paid cc is unethical. the creators of cc and mods will likely never see any return on the time and effort spent creating, and while it would be nice to live in a world where every artist can make art just because they love it, that is not reality. you are not entitled to someone's art just because it is a fan creation.

i get annoyed when i see paid sims cc and mods, but people are allowed to monetize their work. even the cc i've created has taken hours of work, and my cc so far has been very, very small. asking to be paid for artwork does not remove the passion behind the work. if you really want to build community and have less paywalled cc/mods, tip the creators that aren't requiring payment to show that creating isn't thankless work.

Build Mode Trick: Textures

You may already know that holding ALT lets you apply wall or floor textures to almost any object in the game, even ones that aren't normally recolourable:

But there's more! ⚠️⚠️⚠️

For whatever reason, this floor stone texture makes things invisible. By applying it, you can hide parts of all kinds of objects and create some pretty interesting results.

Want to put a plant inside an oversized basket? Fill a bowl with popcorn? Stick toothbrushes in a random mug? Now you can!

does anyone know how to get a blender file with the flat chest preset? trying to draw top surgery scars on the wrong kind of model is proving to be a bit tough lol

there is no separate model for flat chested paras. the skin texture can be found in the skin equipments though

My first makeup set is available on the steam workshop! 2 eyeliner sets and 1 eyeshadow set- all 3 with variations. All able to be recolored or have the opacity changed :)

im wondering how other people feel about the in game top surgery scars. it's nice they they're included from the start but they don't really look like most top surgery scars i've seen irl. would anyone be interested in some cc scars?
