29. aurora
after dinner, I and June went to a walk on the beach. So far we never had the chance to look at the aurora borealis in Oslo. June was talking about Shiro and the upcoming elections. I was just lost in thoughts and was thinking, if only there were aurora today, i would have told June how i felt about her.
28. dinner
I and June have been making cargo runs for almost six months now. I have grown really fond of her although i am pretty much sure she doesn't feel that way. Though we have talked over many different things during our time together, i felt there was something that she didn't want to reveal.
27. cold Winters
I and June decided to get into the city for the evening. Oslo is so different from NYC. The long winters and extreme cold throughout the year makes it difficult for normal resources to be developed or grown here. That's why they are flown in.
26. Oslo
Amidst the storm we were able to successfully land at Oslo. The usual group were replaced with specialized military personnel who unloaded the box onto a wide semi. Jean left along with them. We were told to stay put in the plane until further orders.
25. the Storm
Before we even started the journey, we were warned about a potential thunder storm hitting Oslo couple of hours before our estimated arrival.
24. the Passenger
Usually there is just me and june delivering the goods, but today apart from the strange box, we also had a passenger on board. The only time she spoke with us was when she handed us the authorization papers for her travel. Her name is Jean and she is a particle physicist.
23. the strange Container
I and June were on our regular cargo drop to Oslo, Norway. This time we were scheduled to stay there for a week. Usually the cargo we carry is mostly food and medicinal supplies filled in every available inch on the plane. But today its different, there is a single huge white sealed box, almost as tall and wide as the cargo space.
22. NOW, Shiro
after the cities were established, the NOW (N-new york, O-oslo, W-wellington) government was formed. the Leader of NOW is the president for all the three cities. there is election in couple of months and a young scientist named, Shiro has shown promise and acumen and is expected to win.
Shiro was one of the star students of June's parents and hence she thinks shiro might be good fit for running the strongholds.
21. June
My co-pilot, June is from NYC as well. Her parents teach mathematics and physics at the school. Not many kids get the privilege to go to school. There is a random process that all kids go through when they reach the age of 5, which determines what role they are assigned to. June got into the flying school two years before me. But i managed to get flying status the same time as her.
20. I, jack
I am jack… One of the few lucky ones to have born inside the strongholds. Once the stronghold’s were established, every individual was assigned to do a determined task. I was born to a parents who were tasked with cooking. I am 20/years old now and I am a pilot of a cargo plane that runs alternatively to Oslo and Wellington every two weeks.
19. New Order
Only 3 cities remain occupied by civilized men... and most of their goal is to study the spheres using existing and building new equipments...the rest were scheduled with other tasks to keep the day to day lives active...
18. New York City, USA
New York city became the first and the most important city that was made into strong hold...the city was guarded heavily from all directions..
17. Wellington, New Zealand
the second city that was barricaded and made into stronghold was Wellington, NZ..
16. Oslo, Norway
the ring road around the city of Oslo provided an easy way of barricading the city from vandals and create a stronghold...
15. Stronghold
After all the chaos and turmoil there were only handful of cities in the world were governments could maintain a stable life... NASA and the US government created a new plan to organize and gather resources at three cities around the globe.
14. Secret
the loss of Columbus was kept a secret for a while by NASA. but the news got out to the public.. again, there was chaos and turmoil in all parts of the world..
13. Lost
After the observations at Beta, columbus did a course correction and headed towards the final sphere. the one that was very different from the others.. but before columbus could get close to start observing, NASA lost communication with it...
