hello welcome back to tommie's rambling essays this time we're talking about the pie team's core insecurities. anyway

i think it's interesting that the pairs who have the most overlapping personality traits (ghost-colon and spooker-toast) aren't the pairs that have similar core insecurities (ghost-spooker and colon-toast).

ghost and spooker both have this flaw of feeling like they don't really qualify as people at all but ghost overcompensates for this by defining himself as loudly as possible and being the most all the time and spooker tends to not think about himself at all unless it's important to the situation at hand. so they go in opposite directions with their main insecurity which is what causes ghost to be so irritable with spooker. since he sees him as like "this is probably what i look like from the outside and i hate it" and also "how can he be happy like this?"

meanwhile, toast and colon both have the belief of "i don't deserve anything on my own unless im good enough" but where toast has failed at it before and continues to fail despite trying his hardest colon has succeeded (this is why he gives off being the "normal one" even when he definitely isnt) and toast tends to underrepresent himself because of this failure. meanwhile colon wants to be the most good at everything so people will believe he is good because he thinks he is. but he's still not certain. which is why he overanalyzes stuff a lot because obviously if hes not the best then hes not living up to his potential. but they have less of a clash than spooker and ghost because neither of them feel like they have something to prove around each other (at least not competitively like colon does with ghost, even if he's kinda offhanded about it)

at least that's my interpretation of them. and why their group dynamic works and is so interesting to me

I found out very recently that the Amino app's servers got shut down back in early December; how I found out was because I wanted to see if the official VenturianTale Amino community "The Macaroni Cartel" was still up and running even after the controversy . The first and last time I ever used Amino was back in 2018(?) because I didn't have a SIM card nor the knowledge on how to make an email, so I wasn't able to get real social media. I don't remember much because I only had it for a few days, but I may have vague memories of the app having trouble running; I thought it was the terrible Android phone I had at the time ( Don't get me started on how it refused to open Roblox one day ), but apparently it was just one of many issues with the app in general . Anyways, if anyone part of Taleblr is reading this and was part of the official Amino community, come on . . . share it with the class . . . HI I was there! There was actually a Venturiantale amino that was already filled with a bunch of people before Venturiantale came out with their own amino.

The thing about the fan run one is that it was very queer friendly at the time, often featuring art that was ship art and such of queer relationships within the VT. (and I think a pride event at some point but I could be wrong)

other then that ... The flyingPings amino actually came out first iirc, there was a way you could be able to talk to bethany herself though a ticket system and I was very lucky enough to do that. (aswell have a chance to be put into the OC drawing videos she was doing at the time). Most of the special stuff was operated through Amino coins or prizes won through events. which was lead onto how macaroni cartel was operated. When the macaroni cartel first came out, I joined immedately since I already knew my way around amino after being on it since the age of 11 or so (I was probably around 13-14 then).

At one point I was able to join a voice chat with Cierra, and annother person who was around my age and became friends with (I have zero memory of what happened to this person) But I don't remember much of what happened within it, other then me asking about a Ghost and Toast video that I think was removed and cannot find. Cierra didnt know about it either, it was weird.

But after a short while the Fryes kinda ditched the amino iirc, and it became very quiet there other then in a few chats. I remember the most active chat was probably larrydacats one, and I remembered the discourse about it between here and on Amino.

The original VT amino quickly died after the Macaroni cartel was released. Another thing is that ;; the reason they made a whole new name for it, is because the fact that the original VT amino already had the name Venturiantale and Amino communitys could not have the same name.

I do remember feeling a vague aura from being on macaroni cartel, it was like being in a liminal space but on the internet.
