Barcelona Nights

As the days get closer to go home, we started to realize that we have not lived the study abroad experience to the fullest. When I mean the experience, I do not mean traveling and sightseeing, I mean day partying, breaking night and partying every single night until our body crashes. At the moment, it sounded like the perfect idea to introduce our spring break but our body nor our homework agreed with that idea. The good thing about this 8 day streak is that we did not need to drink. Kels analyze this 8 day streak in her blog and I’m going to use her idea try to introduce a new point of view of it. 

Wednesday @ Otto Zutz- “I just found three wallets.”

Thursday @ Bling Bling- “Do I still look the same without makeup and with my poof?”

Friday @ La Fira- “Hablame sucio”

Saturday @ Catwalk- “Does my butt have a ‘Touch Me’ sign on it?”

Sunday @ Mojito Club- “We have to buy $5 water to dance Salsa?”

Monday @ Jamboree- “So your mans gave me the wrong time on the email and it’s still my fault?”

Tuesday @ CDLC- “We can dance without touching each other, from a distance.”

Wednesday @ Otto Zutz- “Not only did you make us take a detour but you won’t pay for our cab?”

This has to be the weirdest experience ever. I feel so out of place

I cried tonight

I wasn't expecting to be this upset about leaving but I am. At dinner I couldn't help but think that life was going to change. The experience I've had for the past for months was an unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience and now I had to leave it here. All I was taking with me was my memories and this exact experience would never happen to me again. I would never experience barcelona the way I've experienced it over these months and that made me sad. What triggered my years was my host family. I remembered having the most anxiety about living in a home stay because it was not initially what I wanted and looking back I can honestly say it was the best decision. My host family was exactly what I needed and the sweetest people I have ever met. Something now that I can't understand, how them, knowing nothing about me could show me so much love and kindness. I know that they will be in my life always even if it just means sending cards on holidays, but I know they will be here with me. I thank God for bringing them into my life. And so on my last night here I am preparing to say goodbye to all of this and it hurts. I love you Barcelona. Thank you for giving me the time of my life.

Farewell Dinner

I don't think I can believe it is coming to an end. All this time spent here and it's almost over. The farewell dinner most def had to be one of my highlights of this trip. I've never seen students be as embarrassing and reckless as we were at this dinner. Not to mention I forever had bladder issues but that's another story for another day ! Anyways, who told Mayo it was okay to make a 15 hr speech, who told the waiters to stop the liquids, who told Amy to not sit next to me, who told the shrimp to gain so much weight and land on my plate, who told everyone that if they wre met at bling bling tonight they were loosing a friend. Who said all of this, please tell me I need to know! Well IES I will miss you, seriously I will miss the laziest semester of my life! I will miss these crazy teachers giving us hw every night, I will miss it promise. So long, farewell... Besos !
