I feel like I’m the only one that liked Star’s ending.
I have issues with several parts of the series, but talking specifically about the ending, I didn’t mind it, at all - the death magic was a bit abrupt and has some sad implications, but I really liked the idea of Mewni and Earth being merged and the open ending panning on a new world full of fun possibilities and new interactions. And the parts about Star and Marco were a perfect payoff to their relationship over the series.
Could you do a collage of Star & Marco squishy cheeks? Because squishy cheeks are the best!

A FAREWELL LETTER
To the show, not to the fandom, I’m not going anywhere for a long while after the finale, even if activity is doomed to decrease over time.
I don’t want to get cheesy so I’ll keep it short, but I felt like I had to “celebrate” the end of the series, even just with this crummy post. Being such an active part of a fandom has been a completely new experience, and it allowed me to (digitally) meet a lot of people I’d never have interacted with otherwise, chatting with some of them on a daily basis (shout outs to @skleero and @ngame989 who acted both as emotional sponges and as brethren in misfortune during the series). Thanks to all the Followers and fans who read and reblogged and commented my posts, and less thanks to all the Anons who sent me thousands of Asks giving me a reason to keep being invested in running the blog. An exhausting activity at times, but always a satisfying one.
And special thanks to @daronnefcy and her crew obviously, for having created a product that convinced someone who had never been nearly this emotionally invested in a work of fiction to run a specialized blog for nearly four years. Star and Marco, and their relationship, resonated with me vastly more than any other characters in any media I’ve ever consumed; the series is much more than its characters obviously, from the artistic style and designs that I personally love to its plot to its social themes, but I feel like the characters, and especially its two protagonists, are what truly made the show this unique to me.
So thank you, Star Vs The Forces of Evil, for having given me an unexpected hobby that kept me deeply passionate for years. An experience that I’ll treasure for years well beyond the limits of the series itself.

Marco whispering to himself “okay okay it’s okay” etc when Star admitted that he said he loved her was so adorable. He got so flustered and nervous because he loves her so much and was panicking having to admit it because he was scared she didn’t feel the same way but HA jokes on him
THEY FINALLY LET IT ALL OUT EVEN IF IT WAS HARD AND SCARY AND LOOK FIVE SECONDS LATER THEY WERE HAPPIER THAN EVER IN THEIR LIVES.
Random thought: when Star destroys the magic, all Pony Heads except that trans-horse guy will plummet to their death.
So you’re saying being separated from Marco forever might be worth it, after all.

Can we just talk about how Star reacted to Marco's induced confession? She handled it in the best way possible. She didn't freak out, she didn't look panicked, her voice wasn't strained or high-pitched. She was genuinely and pleasantly surprised.
