rp blog - uu centric, canon divergence. open to int, will mostly directly respond/reblog from my friends though.

starting lore/headcanons: - parrot has been on the run because while on the way to the northern council with wemmbu he found out that theo got imprisoned, as well as a rumour spreading around that wifies (@odysseyfies) is back from the dead - parrot's right wing was damaged years ago and didn't heal correctly, making him functionally unable to fly entirely without an elytra as well as have some difficulties with preening - parrot has gaps in his memory, ones he's only vaguely aware of, and that there might be something more to- but who knows?

admin info: - hx/shx/xt pronouns - ADULT so no /r rp with minors - may be infrequent in responses because i don't have the tumblr app anywhere and therefore only see notifs if i remember to open it in browser view - probably mostly casual rp but might just be saying that and will probably go on soliloquys. will match literacy

Only when Theo is thousands of blocks away does he stop to check his communicator. He exhales sharply as he sees the message, fumbling to reply as his hands shake from adrenaline.

💥: “Parrot?? Where are you? Are you safe???”

Parrot breathes a sigh of relief as he finally sees a response.

> i'm pretty sure i'm safe, but i don't really know where i am > i don't see any lawmen around, just. snow and trees everywhere > are you still in prison? i don't know where they're holding you, i'm sorry for not messaging earlier, i heard you got captured and panicked, i genuinely don't know what happened

He bites his lip. Maybe he shouldn't include that last part, on second thought. It sounds too much like an excuse.

💥: “No, I got broken out, I’m safe for now”

💥: “I’m okay but I’m like, idk, fifty thousand blocks north from the prison so not very far yet”

💥: “Wifies and Ashswag broke me out. Also, Wifies was looking f”

Theo stops. Frowns. Deletes.

💥: “What happened with you and Wi”

Pause. Delete.

He stops again, trying to figure out how to formulate his thoughts. He exhales a frustrated breath.

💥: “Augh it’s too much to type, sorry. Coords, where can I meet up with you?”

Parrot furrows his eyebrows. Broken out? Who, other than him, would break out Theo? Wemmbu and Egg disappeared off to the Farlands after they split up, and besides that... nobody he can think of would have the power to get around the Law. He supposes he and Theo are going to need to talk once they meet up in person, but...

He looks around, searching for any sort of landmark. His coords show him as being about 90k out from spawn, so beyond the Law's general reach (which... how did he get so far so fast?--), but the terrain is unfamiliar to him, and besides...

He shivers. The snowy taiga is quite cold.

Parrot sighs. He can't think of any structure he'd be close to at this moment, so he simply messages Theo his coordinates and hopes they can somehow meet up somewhere in between their positions without going into the spawn area.

"Where... am I?"

Parrot’s head is pounding, and all he can see is dreadful snow and trees in all directions. He tries to recall how he got here— his memories are blurry, tainted by a frantic sort of panic, one he’s familiar with, and one he feels like he fades into whenever he feels it.

Thinking back, he remembers getting Wemmbu and running to the Northern Council, only to find out—

Theo.

There’s something else that feels like it should nag at him, like a seemingly empty room which somehow has no echo, but he can’t focus on it right now. What’s far more important is, fuck, Theo is in prison, and Parrot is— so fucking far away, what the hell, he needs to check in on him, now.

far off in the distance, a lone figure traverses through a snowy taiga.

it's something of an irony, he supposes, that this-of all biomes-is the one he's found himself in. it's muddled, and yet sharp in its shape; the memory of a twisted pipe dream, a life shattered like glass, its shards mixing with the snow, now impossible to pick out, except for where they dug into his hands, leaving scars that might never fade.

a part of him is screaming morals, to turn back where his friend likely remains trapped- but that conscience is not prominent enough right now, slammed away from the world by a fear of the one presence so overwhelming it leaves nothing but the instinct to run.

in their shadow, the law is nothing, and there is nobody who knows that better.
