Mark Your Calendars for November 7: A Day Full of Fun, Prizes, and Decorating Tips

Anyone who knows Parsons knows how much we love Christmas and Christmas decorating. To help you get a jump start on your own Christmas decorating this year, we are hosting a Trim-a-Tree Christmas Decorating Seminar and Christmas Shoppe Open House on November 7th. Get decorating ideas from the best in the business then shop for you, your home, your family and your friends at our super stocked Christmas Shoppe. The day will be full of promotions, prizes, and gifts so clear your calendar and plan on spending the day at Parsons!

We will open our doors at 9:00 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. seminar and will open the doors at 12:30 p.m. for our 1:00 p.m. seminar, with seating for 200 at each seminar. Please bring a $5 cash or check donation to Young Life* to receive your ticket at the door, with your donation going to help young people develop the skills, assets and attitudes to reach their full God-given potential.

Before you start unrolling ribbons, stringing lights, or hanging ornaments, visit us for some seasonal inspiration. We will show you how to care for and style the perfect Christmas tree with tips on tree care, indoor and outdoor decor, lighting, decorating, and lots more. Our seminars are sure to give you a few ideas to try yourself this year.

Parsons is Celebrating 90 Years!

Parsons has been a family owned and operated business for 139 years. We started out under the name of “Alfords” but in 1925 Kate Alford and Calvin Parsons opened their first family store under the name of “Parsons.” That makes this our 90th year operating under the name Parsons and next year our 140th as a family-owned, North Georgia business. We’re so pleased to have found our place here in Cumming and we’re looking forward to the next 90!

Teacher Appreciation Day at Parsons

National Teacher Appreciation Day may have fallen in May but that won’t stop us from celebrating our local schools’ educators! It’s a new school year, after all, and the fall semester is already almost half way over with! Besides that, we think that teachers deserve year-round recognition for the hard work they do and the skills and knowledge they impart. Therefore, we’re very excited to say that on Saturday, October 10, 2015, we’ll be having our own teach Appreciation Day at Parsons Gifts! You didn’t think we’d schedule it for a school day, did you?

Any teacher with a school ID badge to show to a member of our staff in Cumming that Saturday can receive lots of same-day shopping benefits including 20% OFF their purchase as well as a FREE coupon for their next Parsons visit. The Christmas Shoppe Grand Opening Celebration Starts September 24th 

Our Christmas Shoppe is a North Georgia holiday institution – not to mention the largest store of its kind in the state. It’s a huge area adjacent to our gift store filled with heirloom-worthy decorations, tree ornaments, Christmas florals, gift items and collectibles. Each year, we look forward to its Grand Opening in the fall with almost as much excitement as we have waiting for Christmas Day itself. This year’s Grand Opening event will be taking place from Thursday, September 24th to Saturday, September 26th! After all, autumn tis the season to be pre-planning your holiday décor and getting some of those gifts in order!

Once its doors are open there are only three short months until Christmas morning.
