this wasnt even carelessness on the owners part or anything, battery exploded at some point and the acid corroded the screw to the point where it the head sheared clean off after about a quarter of a turn from my screwdriver. theres another screw on the bottom plate that is fully oxidized in its hole and wont budge. that, i think i can fix with some liquid wrench but holy shit. what an unbelievable pain in the dick on what should have been an otherwise very simple repair
