Our Petting Zoo is very interactive. We love to share our animals, and children as well as adults love to pet and feed them. Since the animals are all our actual pets, they have names and stories, and we find that adults love to gather around to take pictures and watch the children and the animals play. The petting zoo easily becomes the center of outdoor entertainment at a family party. We bring a variety of about 12-15 animals, usually including goats and baby goats, rabbits, baby bunnies, chickens, ducks, and a piglet, presented in a gated enclosure with an attendant.
We see that everyone has a good time and the farm is very clean, and enjoyable for everyone. We will gently remind children not to chase or pick up the animals. Hand sanitizer is provided at the exit.
Prices vary depending upon specific services provided, as well as the date, time, and location of your event. They typically begin at about $200 for an "Animal Experience", or around $425 for a 1.5 hour Petting Zoo. An excellent value we provide is the option to add a pony for rides to your petting zoo beginning at only an additional $150. Ponies and petting zoos are a special kind of entertainment, with the opportunity to "share the love" with animal friends.
It’s a heartwarming experience for all ages to play with bunnies, friendly goats, chickens, cuddly lambs, ducklings and piglets. Parents and children laugh as animals nibble treats from their hands. It tickles!
We’ll invite you to come on in and get to know the barnyard residents. Touch and feed them, hear their voices, ask questions, and learn how to be gentle with curious new friends. The attendant sees that everyone has a good time, keeps the farm clean, and the animals happy.

Birthday Parties
At a Birthday Party, the guest of honor and friends can go for a pony ride around the yard, driveway or sidewalk, while others play in the petting zoo. It's fun to dress up for pictures and great memories!

The family behind Party Ponies and Pets has many years experience facilitating people/animal interactions. We are pleased to devote the time and attention needed to maintain very special animals, and provide excellent service to our clients.
The concept originated as Party Animals Farm in Moorpark, which became very popular during the late 90's. We hosted parties and school field trips with pony rides and petting zoo, while we taught riding lessons for children, and drove a Belgian team for wagon rides.
One of the founders of our family business was riding big horses by the time he was 2 years old. In the 70's and 80's, he operated a trail-riding stable at a Rocky Mountain resort with his father.
The Mom in our family entertained children at parties, schools and events with the trick horse she trained as a teen, and also loved her job caring for and presenting lions, leopards, exotic and and endangered animals to the public live and on TV. Employed as an animal handler, she presented camels, horse, sheep, and donkeys onstage at Radio City Music Hall's Living Nativity in New York City.
Now we are blessed to be parents of a young child growing up on the farm, sharing the joy and love of the animals; and learning kindness and respect by example.
Over the years she has grown up with the family business of sharing the animals, and has become a part of the Party Ponies and Pets family team.
Our animals have been invited to the Red carpet in Hollywood, featured on Animal Planet, Nickelodeon TV, "America's Greatest Pets","Good Day LA", "Ripley's Believe It Or Not", and more.
I've always had a passion for animals: training and sharing them, which includes my first horse, Magic. She has been with me almost 30 years now. As a teen, I taught her to do over 25 tricks, such as smile, take a bow, wave, lay down, balance on a teeter totter, twirl a rope, etc. I use gentle, positive training methods. Magic has been to every state except Hawaii.
Now she’s mostly retired, enjoying children and travels whenever she gets the opportunity. Some of our credits are Disney, Nickelodeon TV, Universal Studios, Animal Planet Pet Star, and Rolling Stone Magazine with the cast of "Friends" on her back. Our live studio performance was a winner on the Extreme Gong Show. My greatest accomplishment with Magic is the trust we share.
Knowing Magic is a highlight of my life.
I'm really happy that my gentle old horse and my young child could get to know each other, and the legacy lives on. I love sharing animals with children.
