pippalangford:
She looked up at the man recognizing he was the pastor. The Langfords had never been very religious and normally spent Sunday mornings in bed with a hangover. Her bottom lip curved into a smile as she heard him start talking. “Yeah I guess it’s an alright morning.” She spoke up nodding her head and stood up groaning a little with her hand on her stomach as she moved over making room for him on the bench. “I’m just watching the boys.” She said nodding to the boys playing at the park.
He looked out at the park and his eyes landed on her children. He smiled. “they’ll grow up so fast,” he mused. “especially nowadays. children seem to be turning into adults faster and faster with each passing decade. but that’s just my two sense on the matter. are they involved in any activities? you know we have a great youth group at the church.”
alexrhcdes:
some would say it was a reflex, that her words always held such a level of SNARK in them, even before it had registered whom she was speaking to. pursing her lips momentarily, elbows coming up to rest upon the worn diner table so she could cup her chin in her palms. “forgiven,” her words were lighter now, hinting along something more mischievous. “well, that depends. is that you asking to join me, pastor?” lips twitching upward into something a little more COY, a single hand slips from beneath her chin to gesture to the open booth seat opposed to her. “because if so, the seat is all yours.”
Something in him was screaming don’t do it. He could call her later and they could speak privately and avoid the possible speculation that would come with them being seen together. Despite that, he stood up and walked over to her booth. “you could say that us going out to eat together is long overdue.” he winked. “how are you?” he asked casually, but his mind was on other things, much more tempting things that this woman had to offer.
arcbellc:
“what do you think about this dress?” the female asked out of the sudden noticing with the glance of an eye the presence of someone else. she wanted to hear someone else’s opinion, her own only was never good enough. arabella couldn’t trust herself enough to buy something that expensive as she was very well aware how easily she was influenced by the shop assistants. they would say anything just to make the girl spend a load in their store. and being new to this money thing, she had to be careful and think twice before making any money based decisions.
“honestly? its not as beautiful as the girl wearing it.” clay flashed a gentle smile. “but, i know nothing about fashion. ask me to recite the lords prayer and im your man.” he joked. “are you shopping for a specific occasion?”
alexrhcdes:
“all i’m saying is, this cop is SO far up my ass right now that i’m considering whether or not i should ask him to take me to dinner first—” despite being situated in a public area, a family-friendly one at that, it didn’t warrant the brunette to refrain from having such a potty-mouth. several seconds later, an unladylike snort escapes alex, a comment on the other end of the cellphone pressed against her left ear clearly having been one of amusement to her. though, there’s a shift in posture when a waitress heads in her direction, order in hand; alex beginning to gather herself and sit up straighter. “i’ll call you back, a bitch gotta eat.” without giving much time for the caller to react, her thumb came to press against the bright red button presented upon an illuminated screen, before carelessly tossing the device onto the table of the diner. albeit, just before she’s about to dig into her heavenly chilli cheese fries, dark eyes settle on the figure a table across from her— someone who seemed to be staring. “can i HELP you with something?”
“i’ll have water with that as well,” clay was speaking to his waiter, but his voice was being overshadowed by a woman speaking on the phone. “yes, that will be all.” he handed his menu over before taking a glance in her direction. of course it was her. he should have known. he forced back a smirk as he watched her speak on the phone. he was tempted to speak to her, but they were so out in public that anything he wanted to say would be risky. so, he just stared until she spoke to him. he didn’t respond right away. his dark eyes stayed on her as if he were studying her body. “forgive me,” he finally said. “are you eating alone?”
brontefairchild:
“i need another drink or twelve, so feel free to sit down and join me – my treat.” the brunette offered to the person standing next to her, knocking back the rest of the bourbon, sending a grateful smile to the bartender as she refiled her drink.
he was already taking a seat as she spoke. “im sure the last thing you want is a lecture on moderation.” he let out a soft laugh. “before i found the lord, i might have taken you up on that offer. but, today i’ll just have a coke. thank you, though.” he really just came out to get out of his office. and he didn’t feel like going home. “how are you?”
pippalangford:
sitting down on the park bench, pippa brushed her blonde locks behind her ear eyes glued on the two tiny brunette boys running around the park, her boys sutter and ronald. her hand fell on her five month pregnant belly as she gently moved her fingers on her stomach. her mind thought about the new arrival as it normally did these days nerves took over as she thought more about it. she didn’t even know the gender yet due to having to postpone the appointment. did that make her a bad mother? her thoughts were interrupted when she felt someone take a seat beside her.
Clay loved going on walks. Especially on beautiful days like this. He felt closer to God when he had time to himself. Being around others and the drama of life could often overshadow his beliefs. Not to mention, it was good for his public image. Clay loved meeting strangers and speaking the word of the lord while also plugging his latest book. After walking around the park he noticed a woman sitting on her own. Turning on his charisma was like flipping a switch. He took a seat next to her. “Beautiful afternoon,” he began. “I don’t usually walk around this area, but today I felt called to it.” A pause. He turned slightly to face the woman, making clear that he wanted conversation.
[ HENRY CAVILL, MALE , HE/HIM ] — did you see CLAY AVERY near the gazebo last night ? they’re that TWENTY-NINE year old that i’ve heard is a PASTOR. i’ve definitey heard them called CARING , which contradicts how they’re also called A FRAUD. mostly i hear HE ABUSES HIS POWER FOR SEXUAL FAVORS, but i think we all know better than to believe that !
It’s a bird, it’s a plane! No, it’s just Pastor Clay.

Things at the cakewalk were slowing down, probably due to the concert at the other end of the carnival. Vanessa took the opportunity to walk around and see the rest of the attractions. She waved at a couple of officers from work but didn’t stop to talk – she was still relatively new and didn’t necessarily want to meet their families at the moment. While she was walking, someone caught her eye. A young woman who looked to be in her twenties was quite obviously intoxicated. Vanessa approached her, “A word of advice, that man is a cop and he’s a hardass. I wouldn’t be surprised if he arrested you for public intoxication,” she advised, motioning to her colleague. “Can I buy you a coffee?” she offered.
Coming to the carnival was probably a poor idea on her part. She was more of a homebody nowadays and clearly forcing herself out just made her think about how poor her life was in comparison to others. Happy couples, younger people, the occasional familiar face. She felt ashamed that she had come back to this town such a failure. So, before she headed home, she took advantage of any food truck selling alcohol. She hadn’t even realized how drunk she had gotten until she was stumbling over herself. “Wh-huh?” she looked over to the woman who was speaking. “Man.” she sighed, doing her best to steady herself. The last thing she needed was a ticket, or worse, jail time. “Do you know the guy?” she wondered about the cop. “Thanks for the tip, though. I...I didn’t mean to get like this here. Shit. Um, coffee. Yeah.”
She cleaned her living room. Her bedroom however, remained a mess. She could only hope that it wasn’t obvious that she kept herself in her apartment all day. The only thing that got her out of bed was work, and even that was just for the money. When her brother contacted her a few days ago, Hayden didn’t have it in her to say no to meeting up. There was a weird feeling of guilt that she had built up when it came to him. A few years ago and she would be jumping up and down to see him, but today she felt some dread. Two months and she hadn’t even given him a call. Hopefully they could put the past aside for today. A knock at the door forced her from cleaning. She opened it and was immediately hit with a wave of emotion that she tried so hard to push down. “Leo,” she breathed out.
@drxleo
“i don’t know where these proceeds are going, so don’t ask me,” the brunette admits brusquely to the person awaiting her, applying a layer of green apple chapstick for what felt like the millionth time that day. “i didn’t even know i had to show up and run something until i got a very angry phone call in the middle of my post-breakfast nap,” she snorts, unapologetic in her carelessness. her hand comes up to run through her raven locks, moving the unruly waves out of her face. “anyways, it’s two bucks for a cheek, three for a peck, and five for tongue,” the green-eyed beauty quotes, adding on a frisky smirk at the person standing in line before her. “i can promise i’m worth the investment.”
hayden didn’t want to go out today. she had great plans to just stay inside and avoid everyone before needing to go to work later that night. for some strange reason, she had found herself here. maybe she was lonely, but she prefered to blame it on boredom. hayden pulled her eyes from the girl standing behind the booth. she dig her hand into her pocket and came out with a five. “i...” she began, not really wanting to tongue a stranger. she let out an awkward chuckle, thinking for a moment. “have you had many costumers?” she wondered, before deciding to slide the five in her direction. “its for a good cause, so what the hell.”
